அவன் யூதாவை நோக்கி: தேசம் நமக்கு முன்பாக அமர்ந்திருக்கையில், நாம் இந்தப் பட்டணங்களைக் கட்டி, அவைகளுக்கு அலங்கங்கள், கோபுரங்கள், வாசல்கள் உண்டுபண்ணி, தாழ்ப்பாள் போட்டுப் பலப்படுத்துவோமாக; நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைத் தேடினோம், தேடினபோது, சுற்றிலும் நமக்கு இளைப்பாறுதலைக் கட்டளையிட்டார் என்றான்; அப்படியே கட்டினார்கள்; அவர்களுக்குக் காரியம் வாய்த்தது.

ஆசா யூத ஜனங்களிடம், “இந்த நகரங்களை உருவாக்கி இவற்றைச் சுற்றி சுவர்களை எழுப்புவோம். கோபுரங்களையும், வாசல்களையும், வாசல்களுக்குத் தாழ்ப்பாள்களையும் அமைப்போம். இந்த நாட்டில் நாம் இன்னும் வாழ்ந்துக்கொண்டிருக்கின்ற காலத்தில் இதைச் செய்வோம். இந்நாடு நமக்குரியது. ஏனென்றால் நாம் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைப் பின்பற்றுகிறோம். அவர் நம்மைச் சுற்றிலும் சமாதானத்தை உருவாக்கினார்” என்றான். எனவே அவர்கள் அவ்வாறே கட்டினார்கள். தம் செயல்களில் வெற்றி பெற்றனர்.
