1 Kings 11 in Tamil

1 ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன், பார்வோனின் குமாரத்தியை நேசித்ததுமல்லாமல், மோவாபியரும், அம்மோனியரும், ஏதோமியரும், சீதோனியரும், ஏத்தியருமாகிய அந்நிய ஜாதியாரான அநேகம் ஸ்திரீகள்மேலும் ஆசைவைத்தான். But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:

2 கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் அவர்களண்டைக்கும் அவர்கள் உங்களண்டைக்கும் பிரவேசிக்கலாகாது; அவர்கள் நிச்சயமாய்த் தங்கள் தேவர்களைப் பின்பற்றும்படி உங்கள் இருதயத்தைச் சாயப்பண்ணுவார்கள் என்று சொல்லியிருந்தார்; சாலொமோன் அவர்கள்மேல் ஆசைவைத்து, அவர்களோடு ஐக்கியமாயிருந்தான். Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

3 அவனுக்குப் பிரபுக்கள் குலமான எழுநூறு மனையாட்டிகளும், முந்நூறு மறுமனையாட்டிகளும் இருந்தார்கள்; அவனுடைய ஸ்திரீகள் அவன் இருதயத்தை வழுவிப்போகப் பண்ணினார்கள். And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

4 சாலொமோன் வயதுசென்றபோது, அவனுடைய மனைவிகள் அவன் இருதயத்தை அந்நியதேவர்களைப் பின்பற்றும்படி சாயப்பண்ணினார்கள்; அதினால் அவனுடைய இருதயம் அவன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் இருதயத்தைப்போல, தன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரோடே உத்தமமாயிருக்கவில்லை. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

5 சாலொமோன் சீதோனியரின் தேவியாகிய அஸ்தரோத்தையும், அம்மோனியரின் அருவருப்பாகிய மில்கோமையும் பின்பற்றினான். For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

6 சாலொமோன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல கர்த்தரைப் பூரணமாய்ப் பின்பற்றாமல், கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான். And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

7 அப்பொழுது சாலொமோன் எருசலேமுக்கு எதிரான மலையிலே மோவாபியரின் அருவருப்பாகிய காமோசுக்கும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் அருவருப்பாகிய மோளோகுக்கும் மேடையைக் கட்டினான். Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

8 இப்படியே தங்கள் தேவர்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டிப் பலியிடுகிற அந்நியஜாதியாரான தன் ஸ்திரீகள் எல்லாருக்காகவும் செய்தான். And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

9 ஆகையால் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனுக்கு இரண்டுவிசை தரிசனமாகி, அந்நியதேவர்களைப் பின்பற்றவேண்டாம் என்று கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தும், அவன் கர்த்தரை விட்டுத் தன் இருதயத்தைத் திருப்பி, And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,

10 அவர் கற்பித்ததைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போனதினால் கர்த்தர் அவன்மேல் கோபமானார். And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

11 ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் சாலொமோனை நோக்கி: நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட என் உடன்படிக்கையையும் என் கட்டளைகளையும் நீ கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போய் இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்தபடியினால், ராஜ்யபாரத்தை உன்னிடத்திலிருந்து பிடுங்கி, அதை உன் ஊழியக்காரனுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன். Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

12 ஆகிலும் உன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதினிமித்தம், நான் அதை உன் நாட்களிலே செய்வதில்லை; உன் குமாரனுடைய கையினின்று அதைப் பிடுங்குவேன். Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

13 ஆனாலும் ராஜ்யம் முழுவதையும் நான் பிடுங்காமல், என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதினிமித்தமும், நான் தெரிந்துகொண்ட எருசலேமினிமித்தமும், ஒரு கோத்திரத்தை நான் உன் குமாரனுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்றார். Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.

14 கர்த்தர் ஏதோமியனாகிய ஆதாத் என்னும் ஒரு விரோதியைச் சாலொமோனுக்கு எழுப்பினார்; இவன் ஏதோமிலிருந்த ராஜகுலமானவன். And the LORD stirred up an adversary unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite: he was of the king's seed in Edom.

15 தாவீது ஏதோமில் இருக்கும்போது படைத்தலைவனாகிய யோவாப் ஏதோமிலுள்ள ஆண்மக்களையெல்லாம் சங்கரித்து, வெட்டுண்டவர்களை அடக்கம்பண்ணப்போனான். For it came to pass, when David was in Edom, and Joab the captain of the host was gone up to bury the slain, after he had smitten every male in Edom;

16 அவர்களையெல்லாம் சங்கரிக்குமளவும், தானும் இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்தும் அங்கே ஆறுமாதம் இருக்கும்போது, (For six months did Joab remain there with all Israel, until he had cut off every male in Edom:)

17 ஆதாதும் அவனோடேகூட அவள் தகப்பனுடைய ஊழியக்காரரில் சில ஏதோமியரும் எகிப்திற்குப்போக ஓடிப்போனார்கள்; ஆதாத் அப்பொழுது ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையாயிருந்தான். That Hadad fled, he and certain Edomites of his father's servants with him, to go into Egypt; Hadad being yet a little child.

18 அவர்கள் மீதியானிலிருந்து எழுந்து, பாரானுக்குச் சென்று, பாரானிலே சில மனுஷரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, எகிப்திற்குப் பார்வோன் என்னும் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவினிடத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்; அவன் இவனுக்கு ஒரு வீடுகொடுத்து, இவனுக்கு ஆகாரத்தைத் திட்டம்பண்ணி, நிலத்தையும் கொடுத்தான். And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran: and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh king of Egypt; which gave him an house, and appointed him victuals, and gave him land.

19 ஆதாதுக்குப் பார்வோனின் கண்களில் மிகுந்த தயைகிடைத்தபடியினால், அவன் ராஜஸ்திரீயாகிய தாப்பெனேஸ் என்னும் தன் மனைவியின் சகோதரியை அவனுக்கு விவாகஞ்செய்துகொடுத்தான். And Hadad found great favor in the sight of Pharaoh, so that he gave him to wife the sister of his own wife, the sister of Tahpenes the queen.

20 தாப்பெனேசின் சகோதரியாகிய இவள் அவனுக்குக் கேனுபாத் என்னும் ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்றாள்; அவனைத் தாப்பெனேஸ் பார்வோனின் வீட்டிலே வளர்த்தாள்; அப்படியே கேனுபாத் பார்வோனின் வீட்டில் அவனுடைய குமாரருடன் இருந்தான். And the sister of Tahpenes bare him Genubath his son, whom Tahpenes weaned in Pharaoh's house: and Genubath was in Pharaoh's household among the sons of Pharaoh.

21 தாவீது தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தான் என்றும், படைத்தலைவனாகிய யோவாப் இறந்துபோனான் என்றும், எகிப்திலே ஆதாத் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, ஆதாத் பார்வோனை நோக்கி: நான் என் சுயதேசத்துக்குப் போக என்னை அனுப்பவேண்டும் என்றான். And when Hadad heard in Egypt that David slept with his fathers, and that Joab the captain of the host was dead, Hadad said to Pharaoh, Let me depart, that I may go to mine own country.

22 அதற்குப் பார்வோன்: இதோ, நீ உன் சுயதேசத்துக்குப்போக விரும்புகிறதற்கு, என்னிடத்தில் உனக்கு என்ன குறைவு இருக்கிறது என்றான்; அதற்கு அவன்: ஒரு குறைவும் இல்லை; ஆகிலும் என்னை அனுப்பிவிடவேண்டும் என்றான். Then Pharaoh said unto him, But what hast thou lacked with me, that, behold, thou seekest to go to thine own country? And he answered, Nothing: howbeit let me go in any wise.

23 எலியாதாவின் குமாரனாகிய ரேசோன் என்னும் வேறொரு விரோதியை தேவன் எழுப்பினார்; இவன் தன் ஆண்டவனாகிய ஆதாதேசர் என்னும் சோபாவின் ராஜாவை விட்டு ஓடிப்போய், And God stirred him up another adversary, Rezon the son of Eliadah, which fled from his lord Hadadezer king of Zobah:

24 தாவீது சோபாவில் உள்ளவர்களைக் கொன்று போடுகையில், அவன் தன்னோடே சில மனுஷரைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அந்தக் கூட்டத்திற்குத் தலைவனானான்; இவர்கள் தமஸ்குவுக்குப் போய், அங்கே குடியிருந்து, தமஸ்குவில் ஆண்டார்கள். And he gathered men unto him, and became captain over a band, when David slew them of Zobah: and they went to Damascus, and dwelt therein, and reigned in Damascus.

25 ஆதாத் பொல்லாப்புச் செய்ததுமல்லாமல், ரேசொன் சாலொமோனுடைய நாளெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு விரோதியாகி, சீரியாவின்மேல் ராஜாவாயிருந்து, இஸ்ரவேலைப் பகைத்தான். And he was an adversary to Israel all the days of Solomon, beside the mischief that Hadad did: and he abhorred Israel, and reigned over Syria.

26 சேரேதா ஊரிலுள்ள எப்பிராயீம் மனுஷனாகிய நேபாத்தின் குமாரன் யெரொபெயாம் என்னும் சாலொமோனின் ஊழியக்காரனும் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கையெடுத்தான்; அவனுடைய தாய் செரூகாள் என்னும் பேருள்ள ஒரு விதவை. And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon's servant, whose mother's name was Zeruah, a widow woman, even he lifted up his hand against the king.

27 அவன் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கையெடுத்த முகாந்தரம் என்னவென்றால், சாலொமோன் மில்லோவைக்கட்டி, தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுடைய நகரத்தின் இடிந்துபோன இடங்களைப் பழுது பார்த்தபோது, And this was the cause that he lifted up his hand against the king: Solomon built Millo, and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father.

28 யெரொபெயாம் என்பவன் பராக்கிரமசாலியாயிருந்தான்; அவன் காரிய சமர்த்தனான வாலிபன் என்று சாலொமோன் கண்டு, யோசேப்பு வம்சத்தாரின் காரியத்தையெல்லாம் அவன் விசாரிப்புக்கு ஒப்புவித்தான். And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valor: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.

29 அக்காலத்திலே யெரொபெயாம் எருசலேமிலிருந்து வெளியே போகிற போது, சீலோனியனான அகியா என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசி புதுச்சால்வையைப் போர்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்து, வழியிலே அவனைக் கண்டான்; இருவரும் வயல்வெளியிலே தனித்திருக்கையில், And it came to pass at that time when Jeroboam went out of Jerusalem, that the prophet Ahijah the Shilonite found him in the way; and he had clad himself with a new garment; and they two were alone in the field:

30 அகியா தான் போர்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்த புதுச்சால்வையைப் பிடித்து, அதைப் பன்னிரண்டு துண்டாகக் கிழித்துப்போட்டு, And Ahijah caught the new garment that was on him, and rent it in twelve pieces:

31 யெரொபெயாமை நோக்கி: பத்துத் துண்டுகளை எடுத்துக்கொள்; இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, நான் ராஜ்யபாரத்தைச் சாலொமோனுடைய கையிலிருந்து எடுத்துக் கிழித்து, உனக்குப் பத்துக் கோத்திரங்களைக் கொடுப்பேன். And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:

32 ஆனாலும் என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதுக்காகவும், நான் இஸ்ரவேல் கோத்திரங்களில் எல்லாம் தெரிந்துகொண்ட எருசலேம் நகரத்துக்காகவும், ஒரு கோத்திரம் அவனுக்கு இருக்கும். (But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)

33 அவர்கள் என்னைவிட்டு, சீதோனியரின் தேவியாகிய அஸ்தரோத்தையும், மோவாபியரின் தேவனாகிய காமோசையும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் தேவனாகிய மில்கோமையும் பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல என் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையாய் இருக்கிறதைச் செய்யவும், என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் நியாயங்களையும் கȠΕ்கொள்ளவுமύ, அவர்கள் என் வழிகளில் நடவாமற்ʠχானபடிϠοனால் அப்படிச் செய்வேன். Because that they have forsaken me, and have worshipped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do that which is right in mine eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.

34 ஆனாலும் ராஜ்யபார முழுவதையும் நான் அவன் கையிலிருந்து எடுத்துப் போடுவதில்லை; நான் தெரிந்துகொண்டவனும், என் கற்பனைகளையும் என் கட்டளைகளையும் கைக்கொண்டவனுமான என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதினிமித்தம், அவன் உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் அவனை அதிபதியாக வைப்பேன். Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant's sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:

35 ஆனாலும் ராஜ்பாரத்தை அவன் குமாரன் கையிலிருந்து எடுத்து, அதிலே பத்துக் கோத்திரங்களை உனக்குத் தருவேன். But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.

36 என் நாமம் விளங்கும்படிக்கு, நான் தெரிந்துகொண்ட நகரமாகிய எருசலேமிலே என் சமுகத்தில் என் தாசனாகிய தாவீதுக்கு எந்நாளும் ஒரு விளக்கு இருக்கத்தக்கதாக, அவன் குமாரனுக்கு ஒரு கோத்திரத்தைக் கொடுப்பேன். And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.

37 நீ உன் மனவிருப்பத்தின்படி ஆண்டுகொண்டு, இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாய் இருப்பதற்காக நான் உன்னைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன். And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.

38 நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதையெல்லாம் நீ கேட்டுக் கைக்கொண்டு, நீ என் வழிகளில் நடந்து, என் தாசனாகிய தாவீது செய்ததுபோல, என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் கற்பனைகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு என் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்கிறதுண்டானால், நான் உன்னோடிருந்து, நான் தாவீதுக்குக் கட்டினதுபோல உனக்கும் நிலையான வீட்டைக் கட்டி இஸ்ரவேலை உனக்குத் தருவேன். And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.

39 இப்படி நான் இந்தக் காரியத்தினிமித்தம் தாவீதின் சந்ததியைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்துவேன்; ஆகிலும் எந்நாளும் அப்படியிராது என்று சொன்னான். And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.

40 அதினிமித்தம் சாலொமோன் யெரொபெயாமைக் கொல்ல வகைதேடினான்; யெரொபெயாம் எழுந்து, எகிப்திற்குச் சீஷாக் என்னும் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவினிடத்தில் ஓடிப்போய், சாலொமோன் மரணமடையுமட்டும் எகிப்தில் இருந்தான். Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam. And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.

41 சாலொமோனின் மற்ற நடபடிகளும், அவன் செய்தவை அனைத்தும், அவனுடைய ஞானமும், சாலொமோனுடைய நடபடிப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது. And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?

42 சாலொமோன் எருசலேமிலே இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாம் அரசாண்ட நாட்கள் நாற்பது வருஷம். And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.

43 சாலொமோன் தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்து, தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய ரெகொபெயாம் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான். And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.

1 Raajaavaakiya saalomon, paarvonin kumaaraththiyai naesiththathumallaamal, movaapiyarum, ammoniyarum, aethomiyarum, seethoniyarum, aeththiyarumaakiya anniya jaathiyaaraana anaekam sthireekalmaelum aasaivaiththaan. But king Solomon loved many strange women, together with the daughter of Pharaoh, women of the Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Zidonians, and Hittites:

2 Karththar Israel puththirarai Nnokki: neengal avarkalanntaikkum avarkal ungalanntaikkum piravaesikkalaakaathu; avarkal nichchayamaayth thangal thaevarkalaip pinpattaுmpati ungal iruthayaththaich saayappannnuvaarkal entu solliyirunthaar; saalomon avarkalmael aasaivaiththu, avarkalodu aikkiyamaayirunthaan. Of the nations concerning which the LORD said unto the children of Israel, Ye shall not go in to them, neither shall they come in unto you: for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods: Solomon clave unto these in love.

3 Avanukkup pirapukkal kulamaana elunooraு manaiyaattikalum, munnooraு maraுmanaiyaattikalum irunthaarkal; avanutaiya sthireekal avan iruthayaththai valuvippokap pannnninaarkal. And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart.

4 Saalomon vayathusentapothu, avanutaiya manaivikal avan iruthayaththai anniyathaevarkalaip pinpattaுmpati saayappannnninaarkal; athinaal avanutaiya iruthayam avan thakappanaakiya thaaveethin iruthayaththaippola, than thaevanaakiya karththarotae uththamamaayirukkavillai. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

5 Saalomon seethoniyarin thaeviyaakiya astharoththaiyum, ammoniyarin aruvaruppaakiya milkomaiyum pinpattinaan. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

6 Saalomon than thakappanaakiya thaaveethaippola karththaraip pooranamaayp pinpattaாmal, karththarin paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythaan. And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father.

7 Appoluthu saalomon erusalaemukku ethiraana malaiyilae movaapiyarin aruvaruppaakiya kaamosukkum, ammon puththirarin aruvaruppaakiya molokukkum maetaiyaik kattinaan. Then did Solomon build an high place for Chemosh, the abomination of Moab, in the hill that is before Jerusalem, and for Molech, the abomination of the children of Ammon.

8 Ippatiyae thangal thaevarkalukkuth thoopangaattip paliyidukira anniyajaathiyaaraana than sthireekal ellaarukkaakavum seythaan. And likewise did he for all his strange wives, which burnt incense and sacrificed unto their gods.

9 Aakaiyaal isravaelin thaevanaakiya Karththar saalomonukku irannduvisai tharisanamaaki, anniyathaevarkalaip pinpattavaenndaam entu kattalaiyittirunthum, avan karththarai vittuth than iruthayaththaith thiruppi, And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared unto him twice,

10 Avar karpiththathaik kaikkollaamarponathinaal Karththar avanmael kopamaanaar. And had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: but he kept not that which the LORD commanded.

11 Aakaiyaal Karththar saalomonai Nnokki: naan unakkuk kattalaiyitta en udanpatikkaiyaiyum en kattalaikalaiyum nee kaikkollaamarpoy inthak kaariyaththaich seythapatiyinaal, raajyapaaraththai unnidaththilirunthu pidungi, athai un ooliyakkaaranukkuk koduppaen. Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my covenant and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant.

12 Aakilum un thakappanaakiya thaaveethinimiththam, naan athai un naatkalilae seyvathillai; un kumaaranutaiya kaiyinintu athaip pidunguvaen. Notwithstanding in thy days I will not do it for David thy father's sake: but I will rend it out of the hand of thy son.

Howbeit I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.

And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:

(But he shall have one tribe for my servant David's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake, the city which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel:)

Howbeit I will not take the whole kingdom out of his hand: but I will make him prince all the days of his life for David my servant's sake, whom I chose, because he kept my commandments and my statutes:

35 Aanaalum raajpaaraththai avan kumaaran kaiyilirunthu eduththu, athilae paththuk koththirangalai unakkuth tharuvaen. But I will take the kingdom out of his son's hand, and will give it unto thee, even ten tribes.

36 En naamam vilangumpatikku, naan therinthukonnda nakaramaakiya erusalaemilae en samukaththil en thaasanaakiya Davidkku ennaalum oru vilakku irukkaththakkathaaka, avan kumaaranukku oru koththiraththaik koduppaen. And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there.

37 Nee un manaviruppaththinpati aanndukonndu, isravaelinmael raajaavaay iruppatharkaaka naan unnaith therinthukonntaen. And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel.

And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee.

41 Saalomonin matta nadapatikalum, avan seythavai anaiththum, avanutaiya njaanamum, saalomonutaiya nadapatip pusthakaththil allavo eluthiyirukkirathu. And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom, are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?

42 Saalomon erusalaemilae isravaelaiyellaam arasaannda naatkal naarpathu varusham. And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.

43 Saalomon than pithaakkalotae niththiraiyatainthu, than thakappanaakiya thaaveethin nakaraththil adakkampannnappattan; avan kumaaranaakiya rekopeyaam avan sthaanaththil raajaavaanaan. And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
