போஜனத்தினாலே உன் சகோதரனுக்கு விசனமுண்டாக்கினால், நீ அன்பாய் நடக்கிறவனல்ல; அவனை உன் போஜனத்தினாலே கெடுக்காதே, கிறிஸ்து அவனுக்காக மரித்தாரே.

நீ சாப்பிடும் ஒன்றின் பொருட்டு, உன் சகோதரனின் விசுவாசத்தைப் புண்படுத்தினால், நீ உண்மையிலேயே அன்பு வழியைப் பின்பற்றவில்லை என்பதே அதன் பொருள். தவறு என்று ஒருவன் கருதும் உணவை உண்டு ஒருவனது நம்பிக்கையை அழித்து விடாதே. கிறிஸ்து அவனுக்காகவும் தன் உயிரை கொடுத்தார்.

But if thy brother be grieved with thy meat, now walkest thou not charitably. Destroy not him with thy meat, for whom Christ died.
