அப்பொழுது மனுஷர்கள் மிகுந்த உஷ்ணத்தினாலே தகிக்கப்பட்டு, இந்த வார்த்தைகளைச் செய்ய அதிகாரமுள்ள தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைத் தூஷித்தார்களேயல்லாமல், அவரை மகிமைப்படுத்த மனந்திரும்பவில்லை;

அப்பொழுது மனிதர்கள் அதிக வெப்பத்தினால் சுடப்பட்டு, இந்த வாதைகளைச் செய்ய அதிகாரமுள்ள தேவனுடைய நாமத்தை அவமதித்தார்களேதவிர, அவரை மகிமைப்படுத்த மனம்திரும்பவில்லை.

மக்கள் பெரு வெப்பத்தால் எரிக்கப்பட்டனர். அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய பெயரை சபித்தார்கள். இது போன்ற துன்பங்களை எல்லாம் கட்டுப்படுத்தக் கூடியவர் தேவன் ஒருவரே ஆவார். ஆனால் மக்களோ தங்கள் இதயத்தையும் வாழ்வையும் மாற்றி தேவனுக்கு மகிமை செலுத்த மறுத்தனர்.
