இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் தங்களைத் திடப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு, முதல்நாளில் அணிவகுத்து நின்ற ஸ்தலத்திலே, மறுபடியும் போர்செய்ய அணிவகுத்து நின்றார்கள்.

இஸ்ரவேலர் கர்த்தரிடம் சென்றனர். மாலைவரைக்கும் அழுதனர். அவர்கள் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி, “பென்யமீன் ஜனங்களோடு மீண்டும் போரிடுவதற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டுமா? அவர்கள் எங்கள் உறவினர்கள்” என்றனர். கர்த்தர், “போய், அவர்களுக்கெதிராகப் போர் செய்யுங்கள்” என்று பதில் கூறினார். இஸ்ரவேல் மனிதர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் உற்சாகப்படுத்தினார்கள். மீண்டும் போருக்கு முதல்நாளைப் போலவே சென்றனர்.
