அவர்கள் யார் நிமித்தம் இந்த ஆபத்து நமக்கு நேரிட்டதென்று நாமறியும்படிக்குச் சீட்டுப்போடுவோம் வாருங்கள் என்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டு சீட்டுப்போட்டார்கள்; யோனாவின் பேருக்குச் சீட்டு விழுந்தது.

பிறகு அவர்கள் ஒருவரோடு ஒருவர், “நாம் சீட்டுக் குலுக்கிப்போட்டு இத்துன்பம் வரக் காரணம் என்னவென்று பார்ப்போம்” என்று பேசிக்கொண்டார்கள். எனவே அவர்கள் சீட்டுப் போட்டார்கள். யோனாவால் இந்தத் துன்பம் வந்தது என்பதை அது காட்டியது.

Come, לְכוּ֙ hālak ha-LAHK
and let us cast וְנַפִּ֣ילָה nāpal na-FAHL
lots, גֽוֹרָל֔וֹת gôrāl ɡoh-RAHL
that we may know וְנֵ֣דְעָ֔ה yādaʿ ya-DA
for whose cause בְּשֶׁלְּמִ֛י šel shel
evil הָרָעָ֥ה raʿ ra
