John 3 in Tamil

1 யூதருக்குள்ளே அதிகாரியான நிக்கொதேமு என்னப்பட்ட பரிசேயன் ஒருவன் இருந்தான். There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 அவன் இராக்காலத்திலே இயேசுவினிடத்தில் வந்து: ரபீ, நீர் தேவனிடத்திலிருந்து வந்த போதகர் என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம், ஏனெனில் ஒருவனும் தன்னுடனே தேவன் இராவிட்டால் நீர் செய்கிற இப்படிப்பட்ட அற்புதங்களைச் செய்மாட்டான் என்றான். The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 இயேசு அவனுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ஒருவன் மறுபடியும் பிறவாவிட்டால் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைக் காணமாட்டான் என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார். Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 அதற்கு நிக்கொதேமு: ஒரு மனுஷன் முதிர்வயதாயிருக்கையில் எப்படிப் பிறப்பான்? அவன் தன் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் இரண்டாந்தரம் பிரவேசித்துப் பிறக்கக்கூடுமோ என்றான். Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 இயேசு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ஒருவன் ஜலத்தினாலும் ஆவியினாலும் பிறவாவிட்டால் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கமாட்டான் என்று மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன். Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 மாம்சத்தினால் பிறப்பது மாம்சமாயிருக்கும், ஆவியினால் பிறப்பது ஆவியாயிருக்கும். That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 நீங்கள் மறுபடியும் பிறக்கவேண்டுமென்று நான் உனக்குச் சொன்னதைக் குறித்து அதிசயப்படவேண்டாம். Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 காற்றானது தனக்கு இஷ்டமான இடத்திலே வீசுகிறது, அதின் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்கிறாய், ஆகிலும் அது இன்ன இடத்திலிருந்து வருகிறதென்றும், இன்ன இடத்துக்குப் போகிறதென்றும் உனக்குத் தெரியாது; ஆவியினால் பிறந்தவனெவனோ அவனும் அப்படியே இருக்கிறான் என்றார். The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 அதற்கு நிக்கொதேமு: இவைகள் எப்படி ஆகும் என்றான். Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: நீ இஸ்ரவேலில் போதகனாயிருந்தும் இவைகளை அறியாமலிருக்கிறாயா? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 மெய்யாகவே மெய்யாகவே நான் உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நாங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறதைச் சொல்லி, நாங்கள் கண்டதைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சிகொடுக்கிறோம், நீங்களோ எங்கள் சாட்சியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறதில்லை. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 பூமிக்கடுத்த காரியங்களை நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியும் நீங்கள் விசுவாசிக்கவில்லையே, பரமகாரியங்களை உங்களுக்குச் சொல்வேனானால் எப்படி விசுவாசிப்பீர்கள்? If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 பரலோகத்திலிருந்திறங்கினவரும் பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிறவருமான மனுஷகுமாரனேயல்லாமல் பரலோகத்துக்கு ஏறினவன் ஒருவனுமில்லை. And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 சர்ப்பமானது மோசேயினால் வனாந்தரத்திலே உயர்த்தப்பட்டது போல மனுஷகுமாரனும், And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 தன்னை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவன் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் நித்திய ஜீவனை அடையும்படிக்கு, உயர்த்தப்படவேண்டும். That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 தேவன், தம்முடைய ஒரேபேறான குமாரனை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவன் கெட்டுப்போகாமல் நித்தியஜீவனை அடையும்படிக்கு, அவரைத் தந்தருளி, இவ்வளவாய் உலகத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்தார். For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 உலகத்தை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கும்படி தேவன் தம்முடைய குமாரனை உலகத்தில் அனுப்பாமல், அவராலே உலகம் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவதற்காகவே அவரை அனுப்பினார். For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 அவரை விசுவாசிக்கிறவன் ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படான்; விசுவாசியாதவனோ தேவனுடைய ஒரேபேறான குமாரனுடைய நாமத்தில் விசுவாசமுள்ளவனாயிராதபடியினால், அவன் ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்புக்குட்பட்டாயிற்று. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 ஒளியானது உலகத்திலே வந்திருந்தும் மனுஷருடைய கிரியைகள் பொல்லாதவைகளாயிருக்கிறபடியினால் அவர்கள் ஒளியைப்பார்க்கிலும் இருளை விரும்புகிறதே அந்த ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்புக்குக் காரணமாயிருக்கிறது. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 பொல்லாங்கு செய்கிற எவனும் ஒளியைப் பகைக்கிறான், தன் கிரியைகள் கண்டிக்கப்படாதபடிக்கு, ஒளியினிடத்தில் வராதிருக்கிறான். For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 சத்தியத்தின்படி செய்கிறவனோ தன் கிரியைகள் தேவனுக்குள்ளாய்ச் செய்யப்படுகிறதென்று வெளியாகும்படிக்கு, ஒளியினிடத்தில் வருகிறான் என்றார். But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

22 இவைகளுக்குப்பின்பு, இயேசுவும் அவருடைய சீஷரும் யூதேயா தேசத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள்; அங்கே அவர் அவர்களோடே சஞ்சரித்து, ஞானஸ்நானங்கொடுத்துவந்தார். After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

23 சாலிம் ஊருக்குச் சமீபமான அயினோன் என்னும் இடத்திலே தண்ணீர் மிகுதியாயிருந்தபடியினால், யோவானும் அங்கே ஞானஸ்நானங்கொடுத்துவந்தான்; ஜனங்கள் அவனிடத்தில் வந்து ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றார்கள். And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

24 அக்காலத்தில் யோவான் காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கவில்லை. For John was not yet cast into prison.

25 அப்பொழுது யோவானுடைய சீஷரில் சிலருக்கும் யூதருக்கும் சுத்திகரிப்பைக் குறித்து வாக்குவாதமுண்டாயிற்று. Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

26 அவர்கள் யோவானிடத்தில் வந்து: ரபீ, உம்முடனேகூட யோர்தானுக்கு அக்கரையில் ஒருவர் இருந்தாரே; அவரைக் குறித்து நீரும் சாட்சிகொடுத்தீரே, இதோ, அவர் ஞானஸ்நானங்கொடுக்கிறார், எல்லாரும் அவரிடத்தில் போகிறார்கள் என்றார்கள். And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

27 யோவான் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: பரலோத்திலிருந்து ஒருவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டாலொழிய, அவன் ஒன்றையும் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளமாட்டான். John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

28 நான் கிறிஸ்துவல்ல, அவருக்கு முன்னாக அனுப்பப்பட்டவன் என்று நான் சொன்னதற்கு நீங்களே சாட்சிகள். Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

29 மணவாட்டியை உடையவனே மணவாளன்; மணவாளனுடைய தோழனோ அருகே நின்று, அவருடைய சொல்லைக் கேட்கிறவனாய் மணவாளனுடைய சத்தத்தைக் குறித்து மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறான்; இந்தச் சந்தோஷம் இப்பொழுது எனக்குச் சம்பூரணமாயிற்று. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

30 அவர் பெருகவும் நான் சிறுகவும் வேண்டும். He must increase, but I must decrease.

31 உன்னதத்திலிருந்து வருகிறவர் எல்லாரிலும் மேலானவர்; பூமியிலிருந்துண்டானவன் பூமியின் தன்மையுள்ளவனாயிருந்து, பூமிக்கடுத்தவைகளைப் பேசுகிறான்; பரலோகத்திலிருந்து வருகிறவர் எல்லாரிலும் மேலானவர். He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

32 தாம் கண்டதையும் கேட்டதையும் சாட்சியாகச் சொல்லுகிறார்; அவருடைய சாட்சியை ஒருவனும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறதில்லை. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

33 அவருடைய சாட்சியை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறவன் தேவன் சத்தியமுள்ளவரென்று முத்திரைபோட்டு நிச்சயப்படுத்துகிறான். He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

34 தேவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்டவர் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசுகிறார், தேவன் அவருக்குத் தமது ஆவியை அளவில்லாமல் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

35 பிதாவானவர் குமாரனில் அன்பாயிருந்து எல்லாவற்றையும் அவர் கையில் ஒʠύபுக்கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

36 குமாரனிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவன் நித்தியஜீவனை உடையவனாயிருக்கிறான்; குமாரனை விசுவாசியாதவனோ ஜீவனைக் காண்பதில்லை, தேவனுடைய கோபம் அவன்மேல் நிலைநிற்கும் என்றான். He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

1 Yootharukkullae athikaariyaana nikkothaemu ennappatta pariseyan oruvan irunthaan. There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2 Avan iraakkaalaththilae Yesuvinidaththil vanthu: rapee, neer thaevanidaththilirunthu vantha pothakar entu arinthirukkirom, aenenil oruvanum thannudanae Dhevan iraavittal neer seykira ippatippatta arputhangalaich seymaattan entan. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3 Yesu avanukkup pirathiyuththaramaaka: oruvan maraுpatiyum piravaavittal thaevanutaiya raajyaththaik kaanamaattan entu meyyaakavae meyyaakavae unakkuch sollukiraேn entar. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Atharku nikkothaemu: oru manushan muthirvayathaayirukkaiyil eppatip pirappaan? Avan than thaayin karppaththil iranndaantharam piravaesiththup pirakkakkoodumo entan. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Yesu pirathiyuththaramaaka: oruvan jalaththinaalum aaviyinaalum piravaavittal thaevanutaiya raajyaththil piravaesikkamaattan entu meyyaakavae meyyaakavae unakkuch sollukiraேn. Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 Maamsaththinaal pirappathu maamsamaayirukkum, aaviyinaal pirappathu aaviyaayirukkum. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Neengal maraுpatiyum pirakkavaenndumentu naan unakkuch sonnathaik kuriththu athisayappadavaenndaam. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 Kaattaாnathu thanakku ishdamaana idaththilae veesukirathu, athin saththaththaik kaetkiraay, aakilum athu inna idaththilirunthu varukirathentum, inna idaththukkup pokirathentum unakkuth theriyaathu; aaviyinaal piranthavanevano avanum appatiyae irukkiraan entar. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9 Atharku nikkothaemu: ivaikal eppati aakum entan. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10 Yesu avanai Nnokki: nee isravaelil pothakanaayirunthum ivaikalai ariyaamalirukkiraayaa? Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11 Meyyaakavae meyyaakavae naan unakkuch sollukiraேn, naangal arinthirukkirathaich solli, naangal kanndathaikkuriththuch saatchikodukkirom, neengalo engal saatchiyai aettaுkkollukirathillai. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12 Poomikkaduththa kaariyangalai naan ungalukkuch solliyum neengal visuvaasikkavillaiyae, paramakaariyangalai ungalukkuch solvaenaanaal eppati visuvaasippeerkal? If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13 Paralokaththilirunthiranginavarum paralokaththilirukkiravarumaana manushakumaaranaeyallaamal paralokaththukku aerinavan oruvanumillai. And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14 Sarppamaanathu Mosesyinaal vanaantharaththilae uyarththappattathu pola manushakumaaranum, And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15 Thannai visuvaasikkiravan evano avan kettuppokaamal niththiya jeevanai ataiyumpatikku, uyarththappadavaenndum. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16 Dhevan, thammutaiya oraepaeraana kumaaranai visuvaasikkiravan evano avan kettuppokaamal niththiyajeevanai ataiyumpatikku, avaraith thantharuli, ivvalavaay ulakaththil anpukoornthaar. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 Ulakaththai aakkinaikkullaakath theerkkumpati Dhevan thammutaiya kumaaranai ulakaththil anuppaamal, avaraalae ulakam iratchikkappaduvatharkaakavae avarai anuppinaar. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 Avarai visuvaasikkiravan aakkinaikkullaakath theerkkappadaan; visuvaasiyaathavano thaevanutaiya oraepaeraana kumaaranutaiya naamaththil visuvaasamullavanaayiraathapatiyinaal, avan aakkinaiththeerppukkutpattayittaு. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 Oliyaanathu ulakaththilae vanthirunthum manusharutaiya kiriyaikal pollaathavaikalaayirukkirapatiyinaal avarkal oliyaippaarkkilum irulai virumpukirathae antha aakkinaiththeerppukkuk kaaranamaayirukkirathu. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20 Pollaangu seykira evanum oliyaip pakaikkiraan, than kiriyaikal kanntikkappadaathapatikku, oliyinidaththil varaathirukkiraan. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21 Saththiyaththinpati seykiravano than kiriyaikal thaevanukkullaaych seyyappadukirathentu veliyaakumpatikku, oliyinidaththil varukiraan entar. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

22 Ivaikalukkuppinpu, Yesuvum avarutaiya seesharum yoothaeyaa thaesaththirku vanthaarkal; angae avar avarkalotae sanjariththu, njaanasnaanangaொduththuvanthaar. After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

23 Saalim oorukkuch sameepamaana ayinon ennum idaththilae thannnneer mikuthiyaayirunthapatiyinaal, yovaanum angae njaanasnaanangaொduththuvanthaan; janangal avanidaththil vanthu njaanasnaanam pettaாrkal. And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

24 Akkaalaththil yovaan kaavalil vaikkappattirukkavillai. For John was not yet cast into prison.

25 Appoluthu yovaanutaiya seesharil silarukkum yootharukkum suththikarippaik kuriththu vaakkuvaathamunndaayittaு. Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews about purifying.

26 Avarkal yovaanidaththil vanthu: rapee, ummudanaekooda yorthaanukku akkaraiyil oruvar irunthaarae; avaraik kuriththu neerum saatchikoduththeerae, itho, avar njaanasnaanangaொdukkiraar, ellaarum avaridaththil pokiraarkal entarkal. And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.

27 Yovaan pirathiyuththaramaaka: paraloththilirunthu oruvanukkuk kodukkappattaloliya, avan ontaiyum pettaுkkollamaattan. John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

28 Naan Kristhuvalla, avarukku munnaaka anuppappattavan entu naan sonnatharku neengalae saatchikal. Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.

29 Manavaattiyai utaiyavanae manavaalan; manavaalanutaiya tholano arukae nintu, avarutaiya sollaik kaetkiravanaay manavaalanutaiya saththaththaik kuriththu mikavum santhoshappadukiraan; inthach santhosham ippoluthu enakkuch sampooranamaayittaு. He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

30 Avar perukavum naan siraுkavum vaenndum. He must increase, but I must decrease.

31 Unnathaththilirunthu varukiravar ellaarilum maelaanavar; poomiyilirunthunndaanavan poomiyin thanmaiyullavanaayirunthu, poomikkaduththavaikalaip paesukiraan; paralokaththilirunthu varukiravar ellaarilum maelaanavar. He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

32 Thaam kanndathaiyum kaettathaiyum saatchiyaakach sollukiraar; avarutaiya saatchiyai oruvanum aettaுkkollukirathillai. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

33 Avarutaiya saatchiyai aettaுkkolkiravan Dhevan saththiyamullavarentu muththiraipottu nichchayappaduththukiraan. He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.

34 Thaevanaal anuppappattavar thaevanutaiya vaarththaikalaip paesukiraar, Dhevan avarukkuth thamathu aaviyai alavillaamal koduththirukkiraar. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

35 Pithaavaanavar kumaaranil anpaayirunthu ellaavattaைyum avar kaiyil oʠύpukkoduththirukkiraar. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

36 Kumaaranidaththil visuvaasamaayirukkiravan niththiyajeevanai utaiyavanaayirukkiraan; kumaaranai visuvaasiyaathavano jeevanaik kaannpathillai, thaevanutaiya kopam avanmael nilainirkum entan. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
