நான் உங்கள்மேல் காவலாளரையும் வைத்து, எக்காள சத்தத்துக்குச் கொடுங்கள் என்றும் சொன்னேன்; அவர்களோ நாங்கள் கேட்கமாட்டோம் என்கிறார்கள்.

உங்களை கவனிக்க காவல்காரர்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்தேன். நான் அவர்களிடம், ‘போர் எக்காள சத்தத்தை கவனியுங்கள்’ என்று கூறினேன். ஆனால் அவர்களோ, ‘நாங்கள் கவனிக்கமாட்டோம்!’ என்று கூறினார்கள்.

watchmen צֹפִ֔ים ṣāpâ tsa-FA
you, Hearken הַקְשִׁ֖יבוּ qāšab ka-SHAHV
to the sound לְק֣וֹל qôl kole
of the trumpet. שׁוֹפָ֑ר šôpār shoh-FAHR
But they said, וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
We will not לֹ֥א lōʾ loh
hearken. נַקְשִֽׁיב׃ qāšab ka-SHAHV
