இப்பொழுதும் சுகசெல்வியே, விசாரமில்லாமல் வாழ்கிறவளே; நான்தான் என்னைத்தவிர ஒருவருமில்லை; நான் விதவையாவதில்லை, நான் சந்தான சேதத்தை அறிவதில்லையென்று உன் இருதயத்திலே சொல்லுகிறவளே, நான் சொல்லுகிறதைக் கேள்.

இப்பொழுதும் சுகசெல்வியே, கவலையில்லாமல் வாழ்கிறவளே: நான்தான், என்னைத்தவிர ஒருவருமில்லை; நான் விதவையாவதில்லை, நான் சந்ததி சேதத்தை அறிவதில்லையென்று உன் இருதயத்திலே சொல்கிறவளே, நான் சொல்கிறதைக் கேள்.

எனவே, மெல்லிய இயல்புடைய பெண்ணே! இப்போது என்னைக் கவனி! நீ பாதுகாப்பை உணருகிறாய், ‘நான் மட்டுமே முக்கியமானவள். என்னைப் போன்று முக்கியமானவள் எவருமில்லை. நான் எப்போதும் விதவை ஆவதில்லை நான் எப்போதும் பிள்ளைகளைக் கொண்டிருப்பேன்’ என்று நீ சொல்கிறாய்.

that dwellest הַיּוֹשֶׁ֣בֶת yāšab ya-SHAHV
carelessly, לָבֶ֔טַח beṭaḥ beh-TAHK
that sayest הָאֹֽמְרָה֙ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
in thine heart, בִּלְבָ֔בָהּ lēbāb lay-VAHV
I אֲנִ֖י ʾănî uh-NEE
and none else beside וְאַפְסִ֣י ʾepes eh-FES
ע֑וֹד ʿôd ode
me; I shall not לֹ֤א lōʾ loh
sit אֵשֵׁב֙ yāšab ya-SHAHV
a widow, אַלְמָנָ֔ה ʾalmānâ al-ma-NA
neither וְלֹ֥א lōʾ loh
shall I know אֵדַ֖ע yādaʿ ya-DA
