தங்கள் வெள்ளியைத் தெருக்களில் எறிந்துவிடுவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய பொன் வேண்டாவெறுப்பாயிருக்கும்; கர்த்தருடைய சினத்தின் நாளிலே அவர்கள் வெள்ளியும் அவர்கள் பொன்னும் அவர்களை விடுவிக்கமாட்டாது; அவர்கள் அதினால் தங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களைத் திருப்தியாக்குவதும் இல்லை தங்கள் வயிறுகளை நிரப்புவதும் இல்லை; அவர்கள் அக்கிரமமே அவர்களுக்கு இடறலாயிருந்தது.

அவர்கள் தமது தங்கத்தாலும் வெள்ளியாலுமான சிலைகளை வீதிகளில் எறிவார்கள். ஏனென்றால், கர்த்தர் அவர்கள் மீது தன் கோபத்தைக் காட்டும்போது அச்சிலைகளால் அவர்களுக்கு உதவமுடியாமல் இருக்கும். அச்சிலைகள் அவர்களைப் பாவத்தில் விழச்செய்கிற வலையல்லாமல் வேறு எதுவுமில்லை. அச்சிலைகள் ஜனங்களுக்கு உணவைக் கொடுப்பது இல்லை. அச்சிலைகள் அவர்கள் வயிற்றில் உணவை வைப்பதுமில்லை.
