ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று நான் ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் உங்களைக் கொண்டுபோய், அதை உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுப்பேன்; நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல் என்றார்.

ஆபிரகாம், ஈசாக்கு, யாக்கோபு ஆகியோருக்கு ஒரு பெரிய வாக்குத்தத்தம் பண்ணனேன். அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு விசேஷமான தேசத்தை அளிப்பதாக வாக்களித்தேன். எனவே உங்களை அத்தேசத்திற்கு வழிநடத்துவேன். உங்களுக்கு அத்தேசத்தைத் தருவேன், அது உங்களுடையதாக இருக்கும். நானே கர்த்தர்!’ என்று கூறியதாகச் சொல்லுங்கள்” என்றார்.
