மேலும் நீ எங்களைப் பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவந்ததும் இல்லை, எங்களுக்கு வயல்களையும் திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களையும் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்ததும் இல்லை; இந்த மனிதருடைய கண்களைப் பிடுங்கப்பார்க்கிறாயோ? நாங்கள் வருகிறதில்லை என்றார்கள்.

நாங்கள் ஏன் உம்மை பின்பற்ற வேண்டும்? தேவன் வாக்களித்த பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்துக்குள் நீர் எங்களைக் கொண்டு வரவில்லை. நீர் எங்களுக்கு வயல்களோ, திராட்சை தோட்டங்களோ கொடுக்கவில்லை. இந்த ஜனங்களையெல்லாம் உங்கள் அடிமைகளாக்குவதுதான் உங்கள் எண்ணமா? முடியாது. நாங்கள் அங்கே வரமாட்டோம்” என்றனர்.
