அதற்கு அம்மோனியனாகிய நாகாஸ்: நான் உங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவருடைய வலது கண்ணையும் பிடுங்கி, இதினாலே இஸ்ரவேல் எல்லாவற்றின் மேலும் நிந்தைவரப்பண்ணுவதே நான் உங்களோடே பண்ணும் உடன்படிக்கை என்றான்.

ஆனால் அம்மோனியனான நாகாஸ் “நான் ஒவ்வொரு மனிதனின் வலது கண்ணையும் பிடுங்கிய பிறகுதான் ஒப்பந்தத்தைச் செய்து கொள்வேன். அதுதான் எல்லா இஸ்ரவேலரையும் அவமானப்படுத்தும்!” என்றான்.

them, On this בְּזֹאת֙ zōt zote
will I make אֶכְרֹ֣ת kārat ka-RAHT
לָכֶ֔ם
with you, that I may thrust out בִּנְק֥וֹר nāqar na-KAHR
לָכֶ֖ם
all כָּל kōl kole
eyes, עֵ֣ין ʿayin ah-YEEN
your right יָמִ֑ין yāmîn ya-MEEN
and lay וְשַׂמְתִּ֥יהָ śûm soom
it a reproach חֶרְפָּ֖ה ḥerpâ her-PA
