ராஜா கேட்கிற காரியம் மிகவும் அருமையானது; மாம்சமாயிருக்கிறவர்களோடே வாசம்பண்ணாத தேவர்களேயொழிய ராஜசமுகத்தில் அதை அறிவிக்கத்தக்கவர் ஒருவரும் இல்லை என்றார்கள்.

ராஜா கேட்கிற காரியம் மிகவும் அருமையானது; மாம்சமாயிருக்கிறவர்களுடன் வாசம்செய்யாத தேவர்களேயல்லாமல் ராஜசமுகத்தில் அதை அறிவிக்க முடிந்தவர் ஒருவரும் இல்லை என்றார்கள்.

அரசர் மிகக் கடினமான ஒன்றைச் செய்யும்படிக் கேட்கிறீர். தெய்வங்களால் மட்டுமே அரசரது கனவையும், அக்கனவின் பொருளையும் கூறமுடியும். ஆனால் தெய்வங்கள் மனிதர்களோடு வாழ்வதில்லை”என்றனர்.

ஏனெனில், நீர் கேட்கும் காரியம் செயற்கரிய ஒன்று; தெய்வங்களாலன்றி வேறெவராலும் அரசருக்கு அதனைத் தெரிவிக்க முடியாது; ஆனால், மானிடர் நடுவில் தெய்வங்கள் இருத்தலில்லையே!” என்று மறுமொழி கூறினார்கள்.⒫

Raajaa kaetkira kaariyam mikavum arumaiyaanathu; maamsamaayirukkiravarkalotae vaasampannnnaatha thaevarkalaeyoliya raajasamukaththil athai arivikkaththakkavar oruvarum illai entarkal.

it before קֳדָ֣ם qŏdām koh-DAHM
