1 அவன் நாட்களிலே பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் வந்தான்; யோயாக்கீம் மூன்று வருஷம் அவனைச் சேவித்து, பின்பு அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம்பண்ணினான். In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.

2 அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் கல்தேயரின் தண்டுகளையும், சீரியரின் தண்டுகளையும், மோவாபியரின் தண்டுகளையும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் தண்டுகளையும், அவன் மேல் வரவிட்டார்; தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரரைக்கொண்டு கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தையின்படியே அவர் அவைகளை யூதாவை அழிக்கும்படிக்கு வரவிட்டார். And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.

3 மனாசே தன் எல்லாச் செய்கைகளினாலும் செய்த பாவங்களினிமித்தம் யூதாவைத் தமது சமுகத்தை விட்டு அகற்றும்படி கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையினால் அப்படி நடந்தது. Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;

4 அவன் சிந்தின குற்றமற்ற இரத்தத்திற்காகவும் எருசலேமைக் குற்றமற்ற இரத்தத்தால் நிரப்பினதற்காகவும் கர்த்தர் மன்னிக்கச் சித்தமில்லாதிருந்தார். And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.

5 யோயாக்கீமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன்செய்தவை யாவும், யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

6 யோயாக்கீம் தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின், அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோயாக்கீன் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான். So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

7 எகிப்தின் ராஜா அப்புறம் தன் தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு வரவில்லை; எகிப்தின் நதிதுவக்கி ஐபிராத்து நதிமட்டும் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவுக்கு இருந்த யாவையும் பாபிலோன் ராஜா பிடித்திருந்தான். And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.

8 யோயாக்கீன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது பதினெட்டு வயதாயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே மூன்று மாதம் அரசாண்டான்; எருசலேம் ஊரானாகிய எல்நாத்தானின் குமாரத்தியான அவன் தாயின்பேர் நெகுஸ்தாள். Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

9 அவன் தன் தகப்பன் செய்தபடியெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான். And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.

10 அக்காலத்திலே பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரின் சேவகர் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தார்கள்; நகரம் முற்றிக்கை போடப்பட்டது. At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.

11 பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருடைய சேவகர் நகரத்தை முற்றிக்கை போடுகையில் அவன் தானும் அதற்கு விரோதமாய் வந்தான். And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.

12 அப்பொழுது யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீனும், அவன் தாயும், அவன் ஊழியக்காரரும், அவன் பிரபுக்களும், பிரதானிகளும் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவினிடத்திற்குப் புறப்பட்டுப்போனார்கள்; அவனைப் பாபிலோன் ராஜா தன் ஆளுகையின் எட்டாம் வருஷத்திலே பிடித்துக் கொண்டான். And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

13 அங்கேயிருந்து கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் சகல பொக்கிஷங்களையும், ராஜாவுடைய அரமனையின் பொக்கிஷங்களையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் உண்டாக்கியிருந்த பொன் பணிமுட்டுகளையெல்லாம், கர்த்தர் சொல்லியிருந்தபடியே உடைத்துப்போட்டு, And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.

14 எருசலேமியர் அனைவரும் சகல பிரபுக்களும் சகல பராக்கிரமசாலிகளுமாகிய பதினாயிரம்பேரையும், சகல தச்சரையும் கொல்லரையும் சிறைபிடித்திக் கொண்டுபோனான்; தேசத்தில் ஏழை ஜனங்களே அல்லாமல் வேறொருவரும் மீதியாயிருக்கவில்லை. And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.

15 அவன் யோயாக்கீனையும், ராஜாவின் தாயையும், ராஜாவின் ஸ்திரீகளையும், அவன் பிரதானிகளையும், தேசத்தின் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளையும் எருசலேமிலிருந்து பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனான். And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

16 இப்படியே பாபிலோன் ராஜா பராக்கிரமசாலிகளான மனுஷராகிய ஏழாயிரம்பேரையும், தச்சரும் கொல்லருமாகிய ஆயிரம்பேரையும், யுத்தம்பண்ணத்தக்க பலசாலிகளையும் பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனான். And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

17 அவனுக்குப் பதிலாகப் பாபிலோன் ராஜா அவன் சிறிய தகப்பனாகிய மத்தனியாவை ராஜாவாக வைத்து, அவனுக்குச் சிதேக்கியா என்று மறுபேரிட்டான். And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

18 சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தொரு வயதாயிருந்து, பதினொரு வருஷம் எருசலேமிலே அரசாண்டான்; லிப்னா ஊரானாகிய எரேமியாவின் குமாரத்தியான அவன் தாயின்பேர் அமுத்தாள். Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

19 யோயாக்கீம் செய்தபடியெல்லாம் அவனும் கர்த்தருடைய பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான். And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

20 எருசலேமையும் யூதாவையும் கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய சமுகத்தைவிட்டு அகற்றித் தீருமளவும், அவைகளின்மேலுள்ள அவருடைய கோபத்தினால் இப்படி நடந்ததும் அல்லாமல், சிதேக்கியா பாபிலோனிலே ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகமும் பண்ணினான். For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

1 Avan naatkalilae paapilon raajaavaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாr vanthaan; yoyaakgeem moontu varusham avanaich seviththu, pinpu avanukku virothamaakak kalakampannnninaan. In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.

2 Appoluthu Karththar kalthaeyarin thanndukalaiyum, seeriyarin thanndukalaiyum, movaapiyarin thanndukalaiyum, ammon puththirarin thanndukalaiyum, avan mael varavittar; theerkkatharisikalaakiya thammutaiya ooliyakkaararaikkonndu Karththar sonna vaarththaiyinpatiyae avar avaikalai yoothaavai alikkumpatikku varavittar. And the LORD sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servants the prophets.

3 Manaase than ellaach seykaikalinaalum seytha paavangalinimiththam yoothaavaith thamathu samukaththai vittu akattaுmpati karththarutaiya kattalaiyinaal appati nadanthathu. Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;

4 Avan sinthina kuttamatta iraththaththirkaakavum erusalaemaik kuttamatta iraththaththaal nirappinatharkaakavum Karththar mannikkach siththamillaathirunthaar. And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.

5 Yoyaakgeemin matta varththamaanangalum, avanseythavai yaavum, yoothaavutaiya raajaakkalin naalaakamap pusthakaththil allavo eluthiyirukkirathu. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

6 Yoyaakgeem than pithaakkalotae niththiraiyatainthapin, avan kumaaranaakiya yoyaakgeen avan sthaanaththil raajaavaanaan. So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

7 Ekipthin raajaa appuram than thaesaththilirunthu purappattu varavillai; ekipthin nathithuvakki aipiraaththu nathimattum ekipthin raajaavukku iruntha yaavaiyum paapilon raajaa pitiththirunthaan. And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.

8 Yoyaakgeen raajaavaakirapothu pathinettu vayathaayirunthu, erusalaemilae moontu maatham arasaanndaan; Jerusalem ooraanaakiya elnaaththaanin kumaaraththiyaana avan thaayinpaer nekusthaal. Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

9 Avan than thakappan seythapatiyellaam karththarin paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythaan. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father had done.

10 Akkaalaththilae paapilon raajaavaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாrin sevakar erusalaemukku vanthaarkal; nakaram muttikkai podappattathu. At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.

11 Paapilon raajaavaakiya naepukaathnaechchaாrutaiya sevakar nakaraththai muttikkai podukaiyil avan thaanum atharku virothamaay vanthaan. And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.

12 Appoluthu yoothaavin raajaavaakiya yoyaakgeenum, avan thaayum, avan ooliyakkaararum, avan pirapukkalum, pirathaanikalum paapilon raajaavinidaththirkup purappattupponaarkal; avanaip paapilon raajaa than aalukaiyin ettam varushaththilae pitiththuk konndaan. And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

13 Angaeyirunthu karththarutaiya aalayaththin sakala pokkishangalaiyum, raajaavutaiya aramanaiyin pokkishangalaiyum eduththukkonndu, isravaelin raajaavaakiya saalomon karththarutaiya aalayaththil unndaakkiyiruntha pon pannimuttukalaiyellaam, Karththar solliyirunthapatiyae utaiththuppottu, And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the LORD, as the LORD had said.

14 Erusalaemiyar anaivarum sakala pirapukkalum sakala paraakkiramasaalikalumaakiya pathinaayirampaeraiyum, sakala thachcharaiyum kollaraiyum siraipitiththik konnduponaan; thaesaththil aelai janangalae allaamal vaeroruvarum meethiyaayirukkavillai. And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.

15 Avan yoyaakgeenaiyum, raajaavin thaayaiyum, raajaavin sthireekalaiyum, avan pirathaanikalaiyum, thaesaththin paraakkiramasaalikalaiyum erusalaemilirunthu paapilonukkuch siraipitiththukkonnduponaan. And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

16 Ippatiyae paapilon raajaa paraakkiramasaalikalaana manusharaakiya aelaayirampaeraiyum, thachcharum kollarumaakiya aayirampaeraiyum, yuththampannnaththakka palasaalikalaiyum paapilonukkuch siraipitiththukkonnduponaan. And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

17 Avanukkup pathilaakap paapilon raajaa avan siriya thakappanaakiya maththaniyaavai raajaavaaka vaiththu, avanukkuch sithaekkiyaa entu maraுpaerittan. And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

18 Sithaekkiyaa raajaavaakirapothu irupaththoru vayathaayirunthu, pathinoru varusham erusalaemilae arasaanndaan; lipnaa ooraanaakiya eraemiyaavin kumaaraththiyaana avan thaayinpaer amuththaal. Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

19 Yoyaakgeem seythapatiyellaam avanum karththarutaiya paarvaikkup pollaappaanathaich seythaan. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

20 Erusalaemaiyum yoothaavaiyum Karththar thammutaiya samukaththaivittu akattith theerumalavum, avaikalinmaelulla avarutaiya kopaththinaal ippati nadanthathum allaamal, sithaekkiyaa paapilonilae raajaavukku virothamaakak kalakamum pannnninaan. For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
