அந்தப்படி அவன் எழுந்து போனான். அப்பொழுது எத்தியோப்பியருடைய ராஜஸ்திரீயாகிய கந்தாகே என்பவளுக்கு மந்திரியும் அவளுடைய பொக்கிஷமெல்லாவற்றிற்கும் தலைவனுமாயிருந்த எத்தியோப்பியனாகிய ஒருவன் பணிந்துகொள்ளும்படி எருசலேமுக்கு வந்திருந்து;

எனவே பிலிப்பு தயாராகிப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றான். பாதையில் எத்தியோப்பியாவிலிருந்து வந்த மனிதன் ஒருவனைக் கண்டான். அம்மனிதன் ஆண்மையிழந்தவன். எத்தியோப்பியாவின் அரசியாகிய கந்தாகே என்பவளின் அலுவலரில் அவன் ஒரு முக்கிய அதிகாரியாக இருந்தான். அவன் அவளது கருவூலத்திற்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்தான். அம்மனிதன் எருசலேமில் வழிபாடு செய்யச் சென்றிருந்தான்.
