18 யோவாபின் சகோதரனும் செருயாவின் குமாரனுமான அபிசாய் என்பவன், அந்த மூன்றுபேரில் பிரதானமானவன்; அவன் தன் ஈட்டியை ஓங்கி முந்நூறுபேரை மடங்கடித்ததினால், இந்த மூன்றுபேர்களில் பேர்பெற்றவனானான். And Abishai, the brother of Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was chief among three. And he lifted up his spear against three hundred, and slew them, and had the name among three.

19 இந்த மூன்றுபேர்களில் அவன் மேன்மையுள்ளவனாயிருந்ததினாலல்லவோ, அவர்களில் தலைவனானான்; ஆனாலும் அந்த முந்தின மூன்று பேருக்கு அவன் சமமானவன் அல்ல. Was he not most honorable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.

20 பராக்கிரமசாலியாகிய யோய்தாவின் குமாரனும் கப்செயேல் ஊரானுமாகிய பெனாயாவும் செய்கைகளில் வல்லவனாயிருந்தான்; அவன் மோவாப் தேசத்தின் இரண்டு வலுமையான சிங்கங்களைக் கொன்றதுமல்லாமல், உறைந்த மழைகாலத்தில் அவன் இறங்கிப்போய், ஒருகெபிக்குள் இருந்த ஒரு சிங்கத்தையும் கொன்றுபோட்டான். And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, the son of a valiant man, of Kabzeel, who had done many acts, he slew two lionlike men of Moab: he went down also and slew a lion in the midst of a pit in time of snow:

21 அவன் பயங்கரரூபமான ஒரு எகிப்தியனையும் கொன்றுபோட்டான்; அந்த எகிப்தியன் கையில் ஒரு ஈட்டியிருக்கையில், இவன் ஒரு தடியைப்பிடித்து, அவனிடத்தில் போய், அந்த எகிப்தியன் கையிலிருந்த ஈட்டியைப்பறித்து, அவன் ஈட்டியினாலே அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான். And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.

22 இவைகளை யோய்தாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெனாயா செய்தபடியினால், மூன்று பராக்கிரமசலிகளுக்குள்ளே பேர்பெற்றவனாயிருந்தான். These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.

23 முப்பதுபேரிலும் இவன் மேன்மையுள்ளவன்; ஆனாலும் அந்த முந்தின மூன்றுபேருக்கும் இவன் சமானமானவனல்ல; இவனைத் தாவீது தன் மெய்க்காவலருக்குத் தலைவனாக வைத்தான். He was more honorable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.

18 Yovaapin sakotharanum seruyaavin kumaaranumaana apisaay enpavan, antha moontupaeril pirathaanamaanavan; avan than eettiyai ongi munnooraுpaerai madangatiththathinaal, intha moontupaerkalil paerpettavanaanaan. 19 Intha moontupaerkalil avan maenmaiyullavanaayirunthathinaalallavo, avarkalil thalaivanaanaan; aanaalum antha munthina moontu paerukku avan samamaanavan alla. Was he not most honorable of three? therefore he was their captain: howbeit he attained not unto the first three.

20 Paraakkiramasaaliyaakiya yoythaavin kumaaranum kapseyael ooraanumaakiya penaayaavum seykaikalil vallavanaayirunthaan; avan movaap thaesaththin iranndu valumaiyaana singangalaik kontathumallaamal, uraintha malaikaalaththil avan irangippoy, orukepikkul iruntha oru singaththaiyum kontupottan. 21 Avan payangararoopamaana oru ekipthiyanaiyum kontupottan; antha ekipthiyan kaiyil oru eettiyirukkaiyil, ivan oru thatiyaippitiththu, avanidaththil poy, antha ekipthiyan kaiyiliruntha eettiyaippariththu, avan eettiyinaalae avanaik kontupottan. 22 Ivaikalai yoythaavin kumaaranaakiya penaayaa seythapatiyinaal, moontu paraakkiramasalikalukkullae paerpettavanaayirunthaan. These things did Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and had the name among three mighty men.

23 Muppathupaerilum ivan maenmaiyullavan; aanaalum antha munthina moontupaerukkum ivan samaanamaanavanalla; ivanaith David than meykkaavalarukkuth thalaivanaaka vaiththaan. He was more honorable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.
