யோராம் என்னும் ராஜாவின் குமாரத்தியும் அகசியாவின் சகோதரியுமாகிய யோசேபாள், கொலையுண்ணப்படுகிற ராஜகுமாரரின் நடுவிலிருக்கிற அகசியாவின் மகனாகிய யோவாசைக் களவாய் எடுத்தாள்; அவன் கொல்லப்படாதபடி, அவனையும் அவன் தாதியையும் அத்தாலியாளுக்குத் தெரியாமல் பள்ளி அறையில் ஒளித்து வைத்தார்கள்.

அரசனான யோராமின் மகள் யோசேபாள் ஆவாள். இவள் அகசியாவிற்குச் சகோதரி ஆவாள். யோவாஸ் அகசியா அரசனின் மகன்களுள் ஒருவன். மற்றவர்கள் கொல்லப்பட்டபோது அவள் அவனைக் காப்பற்றி ஒளித்து வைத்தாள். தன் படுக்கையறையிலேயே யோவாசையும் அவனது தாதியையும் மறைத்து வைத்தாள். இவ்வாறு யோவாஸ் அத்தாலியாவால் கொல்லப்படாமல் தப்பித்தான்.

Yoraam ennum raajaavin kumaaraththiyum akasiyaavin sakothariyumaakiya yosepaal, kolaiyunnnappadukira raajakumaararin naduvilirukkira akasiyaavin makanaakiya yovaasaik kalavaay eduththaal; avan kollappadaathapati, avanaiyum avan thaathiyaiyum aththaaliyaalukkuth theriyaamal palli araiyil oliththu vaiththaarkal.
