தேவனுடைய தரிசனங்களில் புத்திமானாயிருந்த சகரியாவின் நாட்களிலே தேவனைத் தேட மனதிணங்கியிருந்தான்; அவன் கர்த்தரைத் தேடின நாட்களில் தேவன் அவன் காரியங்களை வாய்க்கச் செய்தார்.

சகரியாவின் வாழ்நாளிலே உசியா தேவனைப் பின்பற்றினான். சகரியா அவனுக்கு எவ்வாறு தேவனுக்கு மரியாதை செலுத்துவது என்பதைப்பற்றியும் தேவனுக்கு கீழ்ப்படிவது பற்றியும் சொல்லித்தந்தான். உசியா கர்த்தரிடம் கீழ்ப்படிந்து இருந்தவரை தேவனும் அவனுக்கு வெற்றியைத் தந்தார்.

And he sought לִדְרֹ֣שׁ dāraš da-RAHSH
God אֱלֹהִ֔ים ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
in the days בִּימֵ֣י yôm yome
of Zechariah, זְכַרְיָ֔הוּ zĕkaryâ zeh-hahr-YA
who had understanding הַמֵּבִ֖ין bîn been
in the visions בִּרְאֹ֣ת rāʾâ ra-AH
of God: הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים ʾĕlōhîm ay-loh-HEEM
and as long as וּבִימֵי֙ yôm yome
he sought דָּרְשׁ֣וֹ dāraš da-RAHSH
אֶת ʾēt ate
the Lord, יְהוָ֔ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
