2 Chronicles 20 in Tamil

1 இதற்குப்பின்பு மோவாப் புத்திரரும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரும், அவர்களோடே அம்மோனியருக்கு அப்புறத்திலுள்ள மனுஷருங்கூட யோசபாத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தம்பண்ண வந்தார்கள். It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

2 சிலர் வந்து, யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: உமக்கு விரோதமாய் ஏராளமான ஜனங்கள் கடலுக்கு அக்கரையிலிருக்கிற சீரியாவிலிருந்து வருகிறார்கள்; இதோ, அவர்கள் எங்கேதியாகிய ஆசாசோன்தாமாரில் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று அறிவித்தார்கள். Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

3 அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் பயந்து, கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறதற்கு ஒருமுகப்பட்டு, யூதாவெங்கும் உபவாசத்தைக் கூறுவித்தான் And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

4 அப்படியே யூதா ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தரிடத்திலே சகாயந்தேடக் கூடினார்கள்; யூதாவிலுள்ள எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலும் இருந்து அவர்கள் கர்த்தரைத் தேடவந்தார்கள். And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

5 அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலே புதுப்பிராகாரத்துமுகப்பிலே, யூதா ஜனங்களும் எருசலேமியரும் கூடின சபையிலே நின்று: And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,

6 எங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற நீரல்லவோ தேவன்; தேவரீர் ஜாதிகளுடைய ராஜ்யங்களையெல்லாம் ஆளுகிறவர்; உம்முடைய கரத்திலே வல்லமையும் பராக்கிரமமும் இருக்கிறது, ஒருவரும் உம்மோடு எதிர்த்து நிற்கக் கூடாது. And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

7 எங்கள் தேவனாகிய நீர் உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முன்பாக இந்த தேசத்துக் குடிகளைத் துரத்திவிட்டு இதை உம்முடைய சிநேகிதனாகிய ஆபிரகாமுடைய சந்ததிக்கு என்றைக்குமென்று கொடுக்கவில்லையா? Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

8 ஆதலால் அவர்கள் இங்கே குடியிருந்து, இதிலே உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்கென்று ஒரு பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைக் கட்டினார்கள். And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

9 எங்கள்மேல் பட்டயம், நியாயதண்டனை, கொள்ளைநோய், பஞ்சம் முதலான தீமைகள் வந்தால், அப்பொழுது உம்முடைய நாமம் இந்த ஆலயத்தில் விளங்குகிறபடியால், நாங்கள் இந்த ஆலயத்திலும் உமது சந்நிதியிலும் வந்துநின்று, எங்கள் இடுக்கணில் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகையில், தேவரீர் கேட்டு இரட்சிப்பீர் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்கள். If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

10 இப்போதும், இதோ, இஸ்ரவேலர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து வருகிறபோது, அம்மோன் புத்திரர், மோவாபியர், சேயீர் மலைத்தேசத்தாருடைய சீமைகள் வழியாய்ப் போக நீர் உத்தரவு கொடுக்கவில்லை; ஆகையால் அவர்களை விட்டுவிலகி, அவர்களை நாசப்படுத்தாதிருந்தார்கள். And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

13 யூதா கோத்திரத்தார் அனைவரும், அவர்கள் குழந்தைகளும், அவர்கள் பெண்ஜாதிகளும், அவர்கள் குமாரருங்கூட கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள். And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

14 அப்பொழுது சபையின் நடுவிலிருக்கிற மத்தனியாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஏயெலின் மகனான பெனாயாவுக்குப் பிறந்த சகரியாவின் புத்திரன் யகாசியேல் என்னும் ஆசாப்பின் புத்திரரில் ஒருவனான லேவியன்மேல் கர்த்தருடைய ஆவி இறங்கினதினால் அவன் சொன்னது: Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation;

15 சகல யூதா கோத்திரத்தாரே, எருசலேமின் குடிகளே, ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தே, கேளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் அந்த ஏராளமான கூட்டத்திற்குப் பயப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இருங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார்; இந்த யுத்தம் உங்களுடையதல்ல, தேவனுடையது. And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

16 நாளைக்கு நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் போங்கள்; இதோ, அவர்கள் சிஸ் என்னும் மேட்டுவழியாய் வருகிறார்கள்; நீங்கள் அவர்களை யெருவேல் வனாந்தரத்திற்கு எதிரான பள்ளத்தாக்கின் கடையாந்தரத்திலே கண்டு சந்திப்பீர்கள். To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

17 இந்த யுத்தத்தைப் பண்ணுகிறவர்கள் நீங்கள் அல்ல; யூதா மனுஷரே, எருசலேம் ஜனங்களே, நீங்கள் தரித்துநின்று கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யும் இரட்சிப்பைப் பாருங்கள்; பயப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இருங்கள்; நாளைக்கு அவர்களுக்கு எதிராகப் புறப்படுங்கள்; கர்த்தர் உங்களோடே இருக்கிறார் என்றான். Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

18 அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் தரைமட்டும் முகங்குனிந்தான்; சகல யூதா கோத்திரத்தாரும் எருசலேமின் குடிகளும் கர்த்தரைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளக் கர்த்தருக்குமுன்பாகத் தாழவிழுந்தார்கள். And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

19 கோகாத்தியரின் புத்திரரிலும் கோராகியரின் புத்திரரிலும் இருந்த லேவியர் எழுந்திருந்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை மகா சத்தத்தோடே கெம்பீரமாய்த் துதித்தார்கள். And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

20 அவர்கள் அதிகாலமே எழுந்திருந்து, தெக்கொவாவின் வனாந்தரத்திற்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டார்கள்; புறப்படுகையில் யோசபாத் நின்று: யூதாவே, எருசலேமின் குடிகளே, கேளுங்கள்; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நம்புங்கள், அப்பொழுது நிலைப்படுவீர்கள்; அவருடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை நம்புங்கள், அப்பொழுது சித்திபெறுவீர்கள் என்றான். And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

21 பின்பு அவன் ஜனத்தோடே ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, பரிசுத்தமுள்ள மகக்துவத்தைத் துதிக்கவும், ஆயுதம் அணிந்தவர்களுக்கு முன்னாக நடந்துபோய், கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளதென்று கர்த்தரைப் பாடவும், பாடகரை நிறுத்தினான். And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

22 அவர்கள் பாடித் துதிசெய்யத் தொடங்கினபோது, யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாய் வந்து பதிவிருந்த அம்மோன் புத்திரரையும், மோவாபியரையும், சேயீர் மலைத்தேசத்தாரையும், ஒருவருக்கு விரோதமாய் ஒருவரைக் கர்த்தர் எழும்பப்பண்ணினதினால் அவர்கள் வெட்டுண்டு விழுந்தார்கள். And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

23 எப்படியெனில், அம்மோன் புத்திரரும் மோவாபியரும், சேயீர் மலைத்தேசக்குடிகளைச் சங்கரிக்கவும் அழிக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்பினார்கள்; சேயீர் குடிகளை அழித்துத் தீர்ந்தபோது, தாங்களும் தங்களில் ஒருவரையொருவர் அழிக்கத்தக்கவிதமாய்க் கைகலந்தார்கள். For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

24 யூதா மனுஷர் வனாந்தரத்திலுள்ள சாமக்கூட்டண்டையிலே வந்து, அந்த ஏராளமான கூட்டமிருக்கும் திக்கை நோக்குகிறபோது, இதோ, அவர்கள் தரையிலே விழுந்துகிடக்கிற பிரேதங்களாகக் கண்டார்கள்; ஒருவரும் தப்பவில்லை. And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

25 யோசபாத்தும் அவனுடைய ஜனங்களும் அவர்கள் உடைமைகளைக் கொள்ளையிட வந்தபோது, அவர்கள் கண்ட ஏராளமான பொருள்களும் பிரேதங்களிலிருந்து உரிந்துபோட்ட ஆடை ஆபரணங்களும், தாங்கள் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போகக் கூடாதிருந்தது; மூன்றுநாளாய்க் கொள்ளையிட்டார்கள்; அது அவ்வளவு மிகுதியாயிருந்தது. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

26 நாலாம் நாளில் பொராக்காவிலே கூடினார்கள்; அங்கே கர்த்தருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் செலுத்தினார்கள்; ஆதலால் அவ்விடத்திற்கு இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறபடி பெராக்கா என்னும் பேர் தரித்தார்கள். And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

27 பின்பு கர்த்தர் அவர்களை அவர்கள் சத்துருக்கள்பேரில் களிகூரச் செய்தபடியால் யூதா மனுஷர் யாவரும் எருசலேம் ஜனங்களும், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னாலே யோசபாத்தும் மகிழ்ச்சியோடே எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பினார்கள். Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.

28 அவர்கள் தம்புருகளோடும் சுரமண்டலங்களோடும் பூரிகைகளோடும் எருசலேமிலிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள். And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.

29 கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலின் சத்துருக்களோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணினார் என்று கேள்விப்பட்ட அந்தந்த தேசத்து ராஜ்யத்தார்மேல் தேவனால் உண்டான பயங்கரமும் வந்தது. And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.

30 இவ்விதமாய் தேவன் சுற்றுப்புறத்தாரால் யுத்தமில்லாத இளைப்பாறுதலை அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதினால், யோசபாத்தின் ராஜ்யபாரம் அமரிக்கையாயிருந்தது. So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

31 யோசபாத் யூதாவை அரசாண்டான்; அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது, முப்பத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, இருபத்தைந்து வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்; சில்கியின் குமாரத்தியாகிய அவனுடைய தாயின்பேர் அசுபாள். And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

32 அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆசாவின் வழியிலே நடந்து, அதைவிட்டு விலகாதிருந்து, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான். And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.

33 ஆனாலும் மேடைகள் தகர்க்கப்படவில்லை; ஜனங்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்தைத் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனுக்கு இன்னும் நேராக்காதிருந்தார்கள். Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.

34 யோசபாத்தின் ஆதியந்தமான மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலில் ராஜாக்களின் புஸ்தகத்தில் கண்டிருக்கிற ஆனானியின் குமாரனாகிய யெகூவின் வசனங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

35 அதற்குப்பின்பு யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத் பொல்லாப்புச் செய்கிறவனாகிய அகசியா என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவோடெ தோழமைபண்ணினான். And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:

36 தர்ஷீசுக்குப் போகும்படிக்குக் கப்பல்களைச் செய்ய அவனோடே கூடிக்கொண்டான்; அப்படியே எசியோன்கேபேரிலே கப்பல்களைச் செய்தார்கள். And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongaber.

37 மரேசா ஊரானாகிய தொதாவானின் குமாரனான எலியேசர் யோசபாத்துக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லி: நீர் அகசியாவோடே கூடிக்கொண்டபடியினால், கர்த்தர் உம்முடைய கிரியைகளை முறித்துப்போட்டார் என்றான்; அந்தக் கப்பல்கள் உடைந்துபோயிற்று, அவர்கள் தர்ஷீசுக்குப் போகக் கூடாமற்போயிற்று. Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

1 Itharkuppinpu movaap puththirarum, ammon puththirarum, avarkalotae ammoniyarukku appuraththilulla manusharungaூda yosapaaththirku virothamaay yuththampannna vanthaarkal. It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

2 Silar vanthu, yosapaaththai Nnokki: umakku virothamaay aeraalamaana janangal kadalukku akkaraiyilirukkira seeriyaavilirunthu varukiraarkal; itho, avarkal engaethiyaakiya aasaasonthaamaaril irukkiraarkal entu ariviththaarkal. Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

3 Appoluthu yosapaath payanthu, karththaraith thaedukiratharku orumukappattu, yoothaavengum upavaasaththaik kooraுviththaan And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

4 Appatiyae yoothaa janangal karththaridaththilae sakaayanthaedak kootinaarkal; yoothaavilulla ellaap pattanangalilum irunthu avarkal karththaraith thaedavanthaarkal. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

5 Appoluthu yosapaath karththarutaiya aalayaththilae puthuppiraakaaraththumukappilae, yoothaa janangalum erusalaemiyarum kootina Sabaiyilae nintu: And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,

6 Engal pithaakkalin thaevanaakiya karththaavae, paralokaththilirukkira neerallavo Dhevan; thaevareer jaathikalutaiya raajyangalaiyellaam aalukiravar; ummutaiya karaththilae vallamaiyum paraakkiramamum irukkirathu, oruvarum ummodu ethirththu nirkak koodaathu. And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

7 Engal thaevanaakiya neer ummutaiya janamaakiya isravaelukku munpaaka intha thaesaththuk kutikalaith thuraththivittu ithai ummutaiya sinaekithanaakiya aapirakaamutaiya santhathikku entaikkumentu kodukkavillaiyaa? Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

8 Aathalaal avarkal ingae kutiyirunthu, ithilae ummutaiya naamaththirkentu oru Parisuththa sthalaththaik kattinaarkal. And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

9 Engalmael pattayam, niyaayathanndanai, kollaiNnoy, panjam muthalaana theemaikal vanthaal, appoluthu ummutaiya naamam intha aalayaththil vilangukirapatiyaal, naangal intha aalayaththilum umathu sannithiyilum vanthunintu, engal idukkannil ummai Nnokkik kooppidukaiyil, thaevareer kaettu iratchippeer entu solliyirukkiraarkal. If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

10 Ippothum, itho, isravaelar ekipthuthaesaththilirunthu varukirapothu, ammon puththirar, movaapiyar, seyeer malaiththaesaththaarutaiya seemaikal valiyaayp poka neer uththaravu kodukkavillai; aakaiyaal avarkalai vittuvilaki, avarkalai naasappaduththaathirunthaarkal. And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

11 Ippothum, itho, avarkal engalukku nanmaikkuth theemaiyaich sarikkatti, thaevareer engalaich suthantharikkappannnnina ummutaiya suthantharaththilirunthu engalaith thuraththivida varukiraarkal. Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.

12 Engal thaevanae, avarkalai neer niyaayantheerkkamaattiro? Engalukku virothamaaka vantha intha aeraalamaana koottaththirku munpaaka nirka engalukkup pelanillai; naangal seyyavaenntiyathu innathentu engalukkuth theriyavillai; aakaiyaal engal kannkal ummaiyae Nnokkikkonntirukkirathu entan. O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

13 Yoothaa koththiraththaar anaivarum, avarkal kulanthaikalum, avarkal pennjaathikalum, avarkal kumaararungaூda karththarukku munpaaka nintarkal. And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

14 Appoluthu Sabaiyin naduvilirukkira maththaniyaavin kumaaranaakiya aeyelin makanaana penaayaavukkup pirantha sakariyaavin puththiran yakaasiyael ennum aasaappin puththiraril oruvanaana laeviyanmael karththarutaiya aavi iranginathinaal avan sonnathu: Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation;

15 Sakala yoothaa koththiraththaarae, erusalaemin kutikalae, raajaavaakiya yosapaaththae, kaelungal; neengal antha aeraalamaana koottaththirkup payappadaamalum kalangaamalum irungal entu Karththar ungalukkuch sollukiraar; intha yuththam ungalutaiyathalla, thaevanutaiyathu. And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

17 Intha yuththaththaip pannnukiravarkal neengal alla; yoothaa manusharae, Jerusalem janangalae, neengal thariththunintu Karththar ungalukkuch seyyum iratchippaip paarungal; payappadaamalum kalangaamalum irungal; naalaikku avarkalukku ethiraakap purappadungal; Karththar ungalotae irukkiraar entan. Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

18 Appoluthu yosapaath tharaimattum mukanguninthaan; sakala yoothaa koththiraththaarum erusalaemin kutikalum karththaraip panninthukollak karththarukkumunpaakath thaalavilunthaarkal. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

19 Kokaaththiyarin puththirarilum koraakiyarin puththirarilum iruntha laeviyar elunthirunthu, isravaelin thaevanaakiya karththarai makaa saththaththotae kempeeramaayth thuthiththaarkal. And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

23 Eppatiyenil, ammon puththirarum movaapiyarum, seyeer malaiththaesakkutikalaich sangarikkavum alikkavum avarkalukku virothamaay elumpinaarkal; seyeer kutikalai aliththuth theernthapothu, thaangalum thangalil oruvaraiyoruvar alikkaththakkavithamaayk kaikalanthaarkal. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

24 Yoothaa manushar vanaantharaththilulla saamakkoottanntaiyilae vanthu, antha aeraalamaana koottamirukkum thikkai Nnokkukirapothu, itho, avarkal tharaiyilae vilunthukidakkira piraethangalaakak kanndaarkal; oruvarum thappavillai. And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

25 Yosapaaththum avanutaiya janangalum avarkal utaimaikalaik kollaiyida vanthapothu, avarkal kannda aeraalamaana porulkalum piraethangalilirunthu urinthupotta aatai aaparanangalum, thaangal eduththukkonndu pokak koodaathirunthathu; moontunaalaayk kollaiyittarkal; athu avvalavu mikuthiyaayirunthathu. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

26 Naalaam naalil poraakkaavilae kootinaarkal; angae karththarukku Sthoththiram seluththinaarkal; aathalaal avvidaththirku innaalvaraikkum irukkirapati peraakkaa ennum paer thariththaarkal. And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

27 Pinpu Karththar avarkalai avarkal saththurukkalpaeril kalikoorach seythapatiyaal yoothaa manushar yaavarum Jerusalem janangalum, avarkalukku munnaalae yosapaaththum makilchchiyotae erusalaemukkuth thirumpinaarkal. Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.

28 Avarkal thampurukalodum suramanndalangalodum poorikaikalodum erusalaemilirukkira karththarutaiya aalayaththirku vanthaarkal. And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.

29 Karththar isravaelin saththurukkalodu yuththampannnninaar entu kaelvippatta anthantha thaesaththu raajyaththaarmael thaevanaal unndaana payangaramum vanthathu. And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.

30 Ivvithamaay Dhevan suttaுppuraththaaraal yuththamillaatha ilaippaaraுthalai avanukkuk kattalaiyittathinaal, yosapaaththin raajyapaaram amarikkaiyaayirunthathu. So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

31 Yosapaath yoothaavai arasaanndaan; avan raajaavaakirapothu, muppaththainthu vayathaayirunthu, irupaththainthu varusham erusalaemil arasaanndaan; silkiyin kumaaraththiyaakiya avanutaiya thaayinpaer asupaal. And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

32 Avan than thakappanaakiya aasaavin valiyilae nadanthu, athaivittu vilakaathirunthu, karththarin paarvaikkuch semmaiyaanathaich seythaan. And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.

33 Aanaalum maetaikal thakarkkappadavillai; janangal thangal iruthayaththaith thangal pithaakkalin thaevanukku innum naeraakkaathirunthaarkal. Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.

34 Yosapaaththin aathiyanthamaana matta varththamaanangal isravaelil raajaakkalin pusthakaththil kanntirukkira aanaaniyin kumaaranaakiya yekoovin vasanangalil eluthiyirukkirathu. Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

35 Atharkuppinpu yoothaavin raajaavaakiya yosapaath pollaappuch seykiravanaakiya akasiyaa ennum isravaelin raajaavode tholamaipannnninaan. And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:
