மத்தேயு 13:13
அவர்கள் கண்டும் காணாதவர்களாயும், கேட்டும் கேளாதவர்களாயும், உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாதவர்களாயும் இருக்கிறபடியினால், நான் உவமைகளாக அவர்களோடே பேசுகிறேன்.

அவர்கள் கண்டும் காணாதவர்களாகவும், கேட்டும் கேளாதவர்களாகவும், உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாதவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறபடியினால், நான் உவமைகளாக அவர்களோடு பேசுகிறேன்.

அதனால் தான் நான் மக்களுக்கு உவமைகளின் மூலம் போதனை செய்கிறேன். மக்கள் பார்க்கிறார்கள்; கேட்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் அவர்கள் உண்மையில் பார்ப்பதுமில்லை, புரிந்துகொள்வதுமில்லை.

அவர்கள் கண்டும் காண்பதில்லை; கேட்டும் கேட்பதில்லை; புரிந்து கொள்வதுமில்லை. இதனால்தான், நான் அவர்களோடு உவமைகள் வாயிலாகப் பேசுகிறேன்.
