ஆதியாகமம் 2:21
அப்பொழுது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் ஆதாமுக்கு அயர்ந்த நித்திரையை வரப்பண்ணினார், அவன் நித்திரையடைந்தான்; அவர் அவன் விலா எலும்புகளில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, அந்த இடத்தைச் சதையினால் அடைத்தார்.

அப்பொழுது தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் ஆதாமுக்கு ஆழ்ந்த உறக்கத்தை வரச்செய்தார், அவன் ஆழ்ந்து உறங்கினான்; அவர் அவனுடைய விலா எலும்புகளில் ஒன்றை எடுத்து, அந்த இடத்தைச் சதையினால் அடைத்தார்.

caused a deep sleep תַּרְדֵּמָ֛ה tardēmâ tahr-day-MA
upon עַל ʿal al
Adam, הָאָדָ֖ם ʾādām ah-DAHM
and he slept: וַיִּישָׁ֑ן yāšēn ya-SHANE
and he took וַיִּקַּ֗ח lāqaḥ la-KAHK
one אַחַת֙ ʾeḥād eh-HAHD
of his ribs, מִצַּלְעֹתָ֔יו ṣēlāʿ tsay-LA
and closed up וַיִּסְגֹּ֥ר sāgar sa-ɡAHR
