  1. אַ֥שְֽׁרֵי Blessed ʾešer הָאִ֗ישׁ the man ʾîš אֲשֶׁ֤ר׀ that ʾăšer לֹ֥א not lōʾ הָלַךְ֮ walketh hālak בַּעֲצַ֪ת in the counsel ʿēṣâ רְשָׁ֫עִ֥ים of the ungodly, rāšāʿ וּבְדֶ֣רֶךְ in the way derek חַ֭טָּאִים of sinners, ḥaṭṭāʾ לֹ֥א nor lōʾ עָמָ֑ד standeth ʿāmad וּבְמוֹשַׁ֥ב in the seat môšāb לֵ֝צִ֗ים of the scornful. lûṣ לֹ֣א nor lōʾ יָשָֽׁב׃ sitteth yāšab
  2. כִּ֤י But kî אִ֥ם ʾim בְּתוֹרַ֥ת in the law tôrâ יְהוָ֗ה of the Lord; yĕhōwâ חֶ֫פְצ֥וֹ his delight ḥēpeṣ וּֽבְתוֹרָת֥וֹ and in his law tôrâ יֶהְגֶּ֗ה doth he meditate hāgâ יוֹמָ֥ם day yômām וָלָֽיְלָה׃ and night. layil
  3. וְֽהָיָ֗ה And he shall be hāyâ כְּעֵץ֮ like a tree ʿēṣ שָׁת֪וּל planted šātal עַֽל by ʿal פַּלְגֵ֫י the rivers peleg מָ֥יִם of water, mayim אֲשֶׁ֤ר that ʾăšer פִּרְי֨וֹ׀ his fruit pĕrî יִתֵּ֬ן bringeth forth nātan בְּעִתּ֗וֹ in his season; ʿēt וְעָלֵ֥הוּ his leaf ʿāle לֹֽא also shall not lōʾ יִבּ֑וֹל wither; nābēl וְכֹ֖ל and whatsoever kōl אֲשֶׁר ʾăšer יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה he doeth ʿāśâ יַצְלִֽיחַ׃ shall prosper. ṣālaḥ
  4. לֹא not lōʾ כֵ֥ן so: kēn הָרְשָׁעִ֑ים The ungodly rāšāʿ כִּ֥י but kî אִם ʾim כַּ֝מֹּ֗ץ like the chaff mōṣ אֲֽשֶׁר which ʾăšer תִּדְּפֶ֥נּוּ driveth away. nādap רֽוּחַ׃ the wind rûaḥ
  5. עַל Therefore ʿal כֵּ֤ן׀ kēn לֹא shall not lōʾ יָקֻ֣מוּ stand qûm רְ֭שָׁעִים the ungodly rāšāʿ בַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט in the judgment, mišpāṭ וְ֝חַטָּאִ֗ים nor sinners ḥaṭṭāʾ בַּעֲדַ֥ת in the congregation ʿēdâ צַדִּיקִֽים׃ of the righteous. ṣaddîq
  6. כִּֽי For kî יוֹדֵ֣עַ knoweth yādaʿ יְ֭הוָה the Lord yĕhōwâ דֶּ֣רֶךְ the way derek צַדִּיקִ֑ים of the righteous: ṣaddîq וְדֶ֖רֶךְ but the way derek רְשָׁעִ֣ים of the ungodly rāšāʿ תֹּאבֵֽד׃ shall perish. ʾābad
