Psalm 1 in Tamil

1 துன்மார்க்கருடைய ஆலோசனையில் நடவாமலும், பாவிகளுடைய வழியில் நில்லாமலும், பரியாசக்காரர் உட்காரும் இடத்தில் உட்காராமலும், Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தில் பிரியமாயிருந்து, இரவும் பகலும் அவருடைய வேதத்தில் தியானமாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான். But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 அவன் நீர்க்கால்களின் ஓரமாய் நடப்பட்டு, தன் காலத்தில் தன் கனியைத் தந்து, இலையுதிராதிருக்கிற மரத்தைப்போலிருப்பான்; அவன் செய்வதெல்லாம் வாய்க்கும். And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 துன்மார்க்கரோ அப்படியிராமல் காற்றுப் பறக்கடிக்கும் பதரைப்போல் இருக்கிறார்கள். The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 ஆகையால் துன்மார்க்கர் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பிலும், பாவிகள் நீதிமான்களின் சபையிலும் நிலைநிற்பதில்லை. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 கர்த்தர் நீதிமான்களின் வழியை அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; துன்மார்க்கரின் வழியோ அழியும். For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

1 Thunmaarkkarutaiya aalosanaiyil nadavaamalum, paavikalutaiya valiyil nillaamalum, pariyaasakkaarar utkaarum idaththil utkaaraamalum, Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 Karththarutaiya vaethaththil piriyamaayirunthu, iravum pakalum avarutaiya vaethaththil thiyaanamaayirukkira manushan paakkiyavaan. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 Avan neerkkaalkalin oramaay nadappattu, than kaalaththil than kaniyaith thanthu, ilaiyuthiraathirukkira maraththaippoliruppaan; avan seyvathellaam vaaykkum. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

4 Thunmaarkkaro appatiyiraamal kaattaுp parakkatikkum patharaippol irukkiraarkal. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5 Aakaiyaal thunmaarkkar niyaayaththeerppilum, paavikal neethimaankalin Sabaiyilum nilainirpathillai. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

6 Karththar neethimaankalin valiyai arinthirukkiraar; thunmaarkkarin valiyo aliyum. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
