12 ஞானமாகிய நான் விவேகத்தோடே வாசம்பண்ணி, நல்யுக்தியான அறிவுகளைக் கண்டடைகிறேன். I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

13 தீமையை வெறுப்பதே கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படும் பயம்; பெருமையையும், அகந்தையையும், தீய வழியையும், புரட்டுவாயையும் நான் வெறுக்கிறேன். The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

14 ஆலோசனையும் மெய்ஞ்ஞானமும் என்னுடையவைகள்; நானே புத்தி, வல்லமை என்னுடையது. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

15 என்னாலே ராஜாக்கள் அரசாளுகிறார்கள், பிரபுக்கள் நீதிசெலுத்துகிறார்கள். By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

16 என்னாலே அதிகாரிகளும், பிரபுக்களும், பூமியிலுள்ள சகல நியாயாதிபதிகளும் ஆளுகைசெய்து வருகிறார்கள். By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

17 என்னைச் சிநேகிக்கிறவர்களை நான் சிநேகிக்கிறேன்; அதிகாலையில் என்னைத் தேடுகிறவர்கள் என்னைக் கண்டடைவார்கள். I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

18 ஐசுவரியமும், கனமும், நிலையான பொருளும், நீதியும் என்னிடத்தில் உண்டு. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

19 பொன்னையும் தங்கத்தையும் பார்க்கிலும் என் பலன் நல்லது; சுத்த வெள்ளியைப் பார்க்கிலும் என் வருமானம் நல்லது. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

20 என்னைச் சிநேகிக்கிறவர்கள் மெய்ப்பொருளைச் சுதந்தரிக்கும்படிக்கும், அவர்களுடைய களஞ்சியங்களை நான் நிரப்பும்படிக்கும், I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

21 அவர்களை நீதியின் வழியிலும், நியாயபாதைகளுக்குள்ளும் நடத்துகிறேன். That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

22 கர்த்தர் தமது கிரியைகளுக்குமுன் பூர்வமுதல் என்னைத் தமது வழியின் ஆதியாகக் கொண்டிருந்தார். The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23 பூமி உண்டாகுமுன்னும், ஆதிமுதற்கொண்டும் அநாதியாய் நான் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணப்பட்டேன். I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24 ஆழங்களும், ஜலம் புரண்டுவரும் ஊற்றுகளும் உண்டாகுமுன்னே நான் ஜநிப்பிக்கப்பட்டேன். When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

25 மலைகள் நிலைபெறுவதற்கு முன்னும், குன்றுகள் உண்டாவதற்கு முன்னும், Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26 அவர் பூமியையும் அதின் வெளிகளையும், பூமியிலுள்ள மண்ணின் திரள்களையும் உண்டாக்குமுன்னும் நான் ஜநிப்பிக்கப்பட்டேன். While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27 அவர் வானங்களைப் படைக்கையில் நான் அங்கே இருந்தேன்; அவர் சமுத்திர விலாசத்தை வட்டணிக்கையிலும், When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

28 உயரத்தில் மேகங்களை ஸ்தாபித்து, சமுத்திரத்தின் ஊற்றுகளை அடைத்து வைக்கையிலும், When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29 சமுத்திர ஜலம் தன் கரையை விட்டு மீறாதபடிக்கு அதற்கு எல்லையைக் கட்டளையிட்டு, பூமியின் அஸ்திபாரங்களை நிலைப்படுத்துகையிலும், When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30 நான் அவர் அருகே செல்லப் பிள்ளையாயிருந்தேன்; நித்தம் அவருடைய மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருந்து, எப்பொழுதும் அவர் சமுகத்தில் களிகூர்ந்தேன். Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

31 அவருடைய பூவுலகத்தில் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு மனுமக்களுடனே மகிழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தேன். Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

32 ஆதலால் பிள்ளைகளே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; என் வழிகளைக் காத்து நடக்கிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள். Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.

33 நீங்கள் புத்தியைக் கேட்டு, ஞானமடையுங்கள்; அதை விட்டு விலகாதிருங்கள். Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

34 என் வாசற்படியில் நித்தம் விழித்திருந்து, என் கதவு நிலையருகே காத்திருந்து, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான். Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

35 என்னைக் கண்டடைகிறவன் ஜீவனைக் கண்டடைகிறான்; கர்த்தரிடத்தில் தயவையும் பெறுவான். For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

12 Njaanamaakiya naan vivaekaththotae vaasampannnni, nalyukthiyaana arivukalaik kanndataikiraேn. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

13 Theemaiyai veraுppathae karththarukkup payappadum payam; perumaiyaiyum, akanthaiyaiyum, theeya valiyaiyum, purattuvaayaiyum naan veraுkkiraேn. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

14 Aalosanaiyum meynjnjaanamum ennutaiyavaikal; naanae puththi, vallamai ennutaiyathu. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

15 Ennaalae raajaakkal arasaalukiraarkal, pirapukkal neethiseluththukiraarkal. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

16 Ennaalae athikaarikalum, pirapukkalum, poomiyilulla sakala niyaayaathipathikalum aalukaiseythu varukiraarkal. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

17 Ennaich sinaekikkiravarkalai naan sinaekikkiraேn; athikaalaiyil ennaith thaedukiravarkal ennaik kanndataivaarkal. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

18 Aisuvariyamum, kanamum, nilaiyaana porulum, neethiyum ennidaththil unndu. Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

19 Ponnaiyum thangaththaiyum paarkkilum en palan nallathu; suththa velliyaip paarkkilum en varumaanam nallathu. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

20 Ennaich sinaekikkiravarkal meypporulaich suthantharikkumpatikkum, avarkalutaiya kalanjiyangalai naan nirappumpatikkum, I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

21 Avarkalai neethiyin valiyilum, niyaayapaathaikalukkullum nadaththukiraேn. That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

22 Karththar thamathu kiriyaikalukkumun poorvamuthal ennaith thamathu valiyin aathiyaakak konntirunthaar. The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23 Poomi unndaakumunnum, aathimutharkonndum anaathiyaay naan apishaekampannnappattaேn. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24 Aalangalum, jalam purannduvarum oottaுkalum unndaakumunnae naan janippikkappattaேn. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

25 Malaikal nilaiperaுvatharku munnum, kuntukal unndaavatharku munnum, Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26 Avar poomiyaiyum athin velikalaiyum, poomiyilulla mannnnin thiralkalaiyum unndaakkumunnum naan janippikkappattaேn. While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27 Avar vaanangalaip pataikkaiyil naan angae irunthaen; avar samuththira vilaasaththai vattannikkaiyilum, When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

28 Uyaraththil maekangalai sthaapiththu, samuththiraththin oottaுkalai ataiththu vaikkaiyilum, When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29 Samuththira jalam than karaiyai vittu meeraathapatikku atharku ellaiyaik kattalaiyittu, poomiyin asthipaarangalai nilaippaduththukaiyilum, When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30 Naan avar arukae sellap pillaiyaayirunthaen; niththam avarutaiya manamakilchchiyaayirunthu, eppoluthum avar samukaththil kalikoornthaen. Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

31 Avarutaiya poovulakaththil santhoshappattu manumakkaludanae makilnthukonntirunthaen. Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

32 Aathalaal pillaikalae, enakkuch sevikodungal; en valikalaik kaaththu nadakkiravarkal paakkiyavaankal. Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.

33 Neengal puththiyaik kaettu, njaanamataiyungal; athai vittu vilakaathirungal. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

34 En vaasarpatiyil niththam viliththirunthu, en kathavu nilaiyarukae kaaththirunthu, enakkuch sevikodukkira manushan paakkiyavaan. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

35 Ennaik kanndataikiravan jeevanaik kanndataikiraan; karththaridaththil thayavaiyum peraுvaan. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
