அதற்கு அவர்கள் நாங்கள் அதைத் திரும்பக் கொடுத்துவிட்டு, இனி அப்படி அவர்களிடத்தில் கேட்கமாட்டோம்; நீர் சொல்லுகிறபடியே செய்வோம் என்றார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் ஆசாரியர்களை அழைத்து, அவர்கள் இந்த வார்த்தையின்படி செய்ய அவர்களை ஆணையிடுவித்துக்கொண்டேன்.

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: நாங்கள் அதைத் திரும்பக் கொடுத்துவிட்டு, இனி அப்படி அவர்களிடத்தில் கேட்கமாட்டோம்; நீர் சொல்லுகிறபடியே செய்வோம் என்றார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் ஆசாரியர்களை அழைத்து, அவர்கள் இந்த வார்த்தையின்படி செய்ய அவர்களை ஆணையிட வைத்தேன்.

பிறகு அந்தப் பணக்காரர்களும் அதிகாரிகளும், “நாங்கள் இவற்றைத் திருப்பிக் கொடுப்போம். நாங்கள் அவர்களிடம் மேலும் எதையும் கேட்கமாட்டோம். நெகேமியா, நீ சொன்னபடியே நாங்கள் செய்வோம்” என்றனர். பிறகு நான் ஆசாரியர்களை அழைத்தேன். நான் பணக்காரர்களையும் அதிகாரிகளையும் தாங்கள் சொன்னதைச் செய்வதாக தேவனுக்கு உறுதிமொழி அளிக்கச்செய்தேன்.

Atharku avarkal naangal athaith thirumpak koduththuvittu, ini appati avarkalidaththil kaetkamaattaோm; neer sollukirapatiyae seyvom entarkal; appoluthu naan aasaariyarkalai alaiththu, avarkal intha vaarththaiyinpati seyya avarkalai aannaiyiduviththukkonntaen.

Then said וַיֹּֽאמְר֣וּ ʾāmar ah-MAHR
they, We will restore נָשִׁ֗יב šûb shoov
וּמֵהֶם֙ hēm hame
nothing לֹ֣א lōʾ loh
and will require נְבַקֵּ֔שׁ bāqaš ba-KAHSH
of them; so כֵּ֣ן kēn kane
will we do נַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה ʿāśâ ah-SA
as כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
thou אַתָּ֣ה ʾattâ ah-TA
sayest. אוֹמֵ֑ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Then I called וָֽאֶקְרָא֙ qārāʾ ka-RA
אֶת ʾēt ate
the priests, הַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים kōhēn koh-HANE
and took an oath וָֽאַשְׁבִּיעֵ֔ם šābaʿ sha-VA
of them, that they should do לַֽעֲשׂ֖וֹת ʿāśâ ah-SA
promise. כַּדָּבָ֥ר dābār da-VAHR
