2 Samuel 18:18
അബ്ശാലോം ജീവനോടിരുന്ന സമയം: എന്റെ പേർ നിലനിർത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു മകനില്ലല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു, രാജാവിൻ താഴ്വരയിലെ തൂൺ എടുത്തു നാട്ടി അതിന്നു തന്റെ പേർ വിളിച്ചിരുന്നു; അതിന്നു ഇന്നുവരെ അബ്ശാലോമിന്റെ ജ്ഞാപക സ്തംഭം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുവരുന്നു.

Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the king's dale: for he said, I have no son to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom's place.

had taken לָקַ֗ח lāqaḥ la-KAHK
and reared up וַיַּצֶּב nāṣab na-TSAHV

in his lifetime בְחַיָּו֙ ḥay hai
for himself אֶת ʾēt ate
a pillar, מַצֶּ֙בֶת֙ maṣṣebet ma-tseh-VET
which אֲשֶׁ֣ר ʾăšer uh-SHER
dale: בְּעֵֽמֶק ʿēmeq ay-MEK
in the king's הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ melek meh-LEK
for כִּ֤י kee
