அதற்கு இயேசு: நீ பேசாமல் இவனைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போ என்று அதை அதட்டினார்; அப்பொழுது பிசாசு அவனை ஜனங்களின் நடுவிலே விழத்தள்ளி, அவனுக்கு ஒரு சேதமுஞ்செய்யாமல், அவனை விட்டுப் போய்விட்டது.

அசுத்த ஆவியைப் பேசாமல் இருக்கும்படி எச்சரித்தார் இயேசு. “அமைதியாக இருப்பாயாக! இம்மனிதனிலிருந்து வெளியே வா!” என்றார் இயேசு. எல்லாருக்கும் முன்பாக அசுத்த ஆவி அம்மனிதனைத் தரையில் தூக்கி எறிந்தது. பின்பு அசுத்த ஆவி காயப்படுத்தாமல் அம்மனிதனை விட்டு விலகியது.
