ಯೆರುಬ್ಬಾಳನ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಶೆಕೆಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಸಹೋದರರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡವೂ ತನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ತಂದೆ ಮನೆಯ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರೆ ಲ್ಲರ ಸಂಗಡವೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ--
