And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.

Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.

And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.

And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.

15 அப்பொழுது அவள் அவனைப் பார்த்து: உன் இருதயம் என்னோடு இராதிருக்க, உன்னைச் சிநேகிக்கிறேன் என்று நீ எப்படிச் சொல்லுகிறாய்? நீ இந்த மூன்றுவிசையும் என்னைப் பரியாசம் பண்ணினாய் அல்லவா, உன்னுடைய மகாபலம் எதினாலே உண்டாயிருக்கிறது என்று எனக்குச் சொல்லாமற்போனாயே என்று சொல்லி, And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.

16 இப்படி அவனைத் தினம்தினம் தன் வார்த்தைகளினாலே நெருக்கி அலட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறதினால், சாகத்தக்கதாய் அவன் ஆத்துமா விசனப்பட்டு, And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;

That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.

And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.

And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.

But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

22 அவன் தலைமயிர் சிரைக்கப்பட்ட பின்பு, திரும்பவும் முளைக்கத் தொடங்கிற்று. Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.

23 பெலிஸ்தரின் பிரபுக்கள்: நம்முடைய பகைஞனாகிய சிம்சோனை நம்முடைய தேவன் நம்முடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார் என்று சொல்லி, தங்கள் தேவனாகிய தாகோனுக்கு ஒரு பெரிய பலி செலுத்தவும், சந்தோஷம் கொàύடாடவρம் கூடி εந்தார்களύ. Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.

24 ஜனஙύகள் அவΩைக் கண்டவுடனே: நம்முடைய தேசத்தைப் பாழாக்கி, நம்மில் அநேகரைக் கொன்றுபோட்ட நம்முடைய பகைஞனை நம்முடைய தேவன் நமது கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார் என்று சொல்லி, தங்கள் தேவனைப் புகழ்ந்தார்கள். And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us.

And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.

26 சிம்சோன் தனக்குக் கைலாகுகொடுத்து நடத்துகிற பிள்ளையாண்டானோடே, வீட்டைத் தாங்குகிற தூண்களிலே நான் சாய்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கும்படி அவைகளை நான் தடவிப்பார்க்கட்டும் என்றான். And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.

27 அந்த வீடு புருஷராலும் ஸ்திரீகளாலும் நிறைந்திருந்தது; அங்கே பெலிஸ்தரின் சகல பிரபுக்களும், வீட்டின்மேல் புருஷரும் ஸ்திரீகளுமாக ஏறக்குறைய மூவாயிரம்பேர், சிம்சோன் வேடிக்கை காட்டுகிறதைப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.

28 அப்பொழுது சிம்சோன் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, நான் என் இரண்டு கண்களுக்காக ஒரே தீர்வையாய்ப் பெலிஸ்தர் கையிலே பழிவாங்கும்படிக்கு, இந்த ஒருவிசை மாத்திரம் என்னை நினைத்தருளும், தேவனே, பலப்படுத்தும் என்று சொல்லி, And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

29 சிம்சோன் அந்த வீட்டைத் தாங்கி நிற்கிற இரண்டு நடுத்தூண்களில், ஒன்றைத் தன் வலதுகையினாலும், மற்றொன்றைத் தன் இடதுகையினாலும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

4 Atharkuppinpu avan soraek aattangaraiyil irukkira theleelaal ennum paerulla oru sthireeyotae sinaekamaayirunthaan. And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.

5 Avalidaththirkup pelistharin athipathikal poy: nee avanai nayampannnni, avanutaiya makaa palam ethinaalae unndaayirukkirathu entum, naangal avanaik kattich siraுmaippaduththukiratharku ethinaalae avanai maerkollalaam entum arinthukol; appoluthu naangal ovvoruvarum aayiraththu nooraு vellikkaasu unakkuk koduppom entarkal. And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him; and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

And Delilah said to Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, wherein thy great strength lieth, and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee.

7 Atharkuch simson: ularaatha pachchaைyaana aelu akanninaark kayiraுkalaalae ennaik kattinaal, naan palatchayamaaki, matta manushanaippol aavaen entan. And Samson said unto her, If they bind me with seven green withes that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man.

8 Appoluthu pelistharin athipathikal ularaatha pachchaைyaana aelu akanni naark kayiraுkalai avalidaththirkuk konnduvanthaarkal; avaikalaal aval avanaik kattinaal. Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her seven green withes which had not been dried, and she bound him with them.

9 Pathivirukkiravarkal araiveettilae kaaththirukkumpothu, aval: simsonae pelisthar unmael vanthuvittarkal ental; appoluthu, sanal noolaanathu neruppuppattavudanae ittaுppokirathupola, avan anthak kayiraுkalai araுththuppottan; avan palam innathinaalae unndaayirukkirathu entu ariyappadavillai. Now there were men lying in wait, abiding with her in the chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. Delilah therefore took new ropes, and bound him therewith, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And there were liers in wait abiding in the chamber. And he brake them from off his arms like a thread.

13 Pinpu theleelaal simsonaip paarththu: ithuvaraikkum ennaip pariyaasampannnni, enakkup poysonnaay; unnai ethinaalae kattalaam entu enakkuch sollavaenndum ental; atharku avan nee en thalaimayirin aelu jataikalai nesavunool paavotae pinni vittal aakum entan. And Delilah said unto Samson, Hitherto thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound. And he said unto her, If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web.

14 Appatiyae aval seythu, avaikalai aanniyatiththu maatti: simsonae, pelisthar unmael vanthuvittarkal ental; avan niththiraivittelumpi, nesavu aanniyaiyum noolpaavaiyumkoodap pidungikkonnduponaan. And she fastened it with the pin, and said unto him, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awaked out of his sleep, and went away with the pin of the beam, and with the web.

15 Appoluthu aval avanaip paarththu: un iruthayam ennodu iraathirukka, unnaich sinaekikkiraேn entu nee eppatich sollukiraay? Nee intha moontuvisaiyum ennaip pariyaasam pannnninaay allavaa, unnutaiya makaapalam ethinaalae unndaayirukkirathu entu enakkuch sollaamarponaayae entu solli, And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast mocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.

16 Ippati avanaith thinamthinam than vaarththaikalinaalae nerukki alattik konntirukkirathinaal, saakaththakkathaay avan aaththumaa visanappattu, And it came to pass, when she pressed him daily with her words, and urged him, so that his soul was vexed unto death;

17 Than iruthayaththaiyellaam avalukku velippaduththi: savarakan kaththi en thalaiyin mael padavillai; naan en thaayin karppaththil piranthathumuthal thaevanukkentu nasaraeyanaanavan; en thalaisiraikkappattal, en palam ennai vittuppom; athinaalae naan palatchayamaaki, matta ellaa manusharaippolum aavaen entu avalidaththil sonnaan. That he told her all his heart, and said unto her, There hath not come a razor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.

And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, she sent and called for the lords of the Philistines, saying, Come up this once, for he hath showed me all his heart. Then the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and brought money in their hand.

19 Aval avanaith than matiyilae niththirai seyyappannnni, oruvanai alaiththu, avan thalaimayirin aelu jataikalaiyum siraippiththu, avanaich siraுmaippaduththath thodanginaal; avan palam avanaivittu neengittaு. And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him.

20 Appoluthu aval: simsonae pelisthar unmael vanthuvittarkal ental; avan niththiraivittu viliththu, Karththar thannaivittu vilakinathai ariyaamal, eppothumpola utharippottu veliyae povaen entan. And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. 22 Avan thalaimayir siraikkappatta pinpu, thirumpavum mulaikkath thodangittaு. Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.

23 Pelistharin pirapukkal: nammutaiya pakainjanaakiya simsonai nammutaiya Dhevan nammutaiya kaiyil oppukkoduththaar entu solli, thangal thaevanaakiya thaakonukku oru periya pali seluththavum, santhosham koàύdaadavaρm kooti εnthaarkalaύ. Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand.

24 Janangaύkal avaΩைk kanndavudanae: nammutaiya thaesaththaip paalaakki, nammil anaekaraik kontupotta nammutaiya pakainjanai nammutaiya Dhevan namathu kaiyil oppukkoduththaar entu solli, thangal thaevanaip pukalnthaarkal. And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us.

25 Ippati avarkal manamakilchchiyaayirukkumpothu: namakku munpaaka vaetikkaikaattumpatikku, simsonaik koottikkonndu vaarungal entarkal; appoluthu simsonaich siraichchaாlaiyilirunthu koottikkonndu vanthaarkal. Avarkalukku munpaaka vaetikkai kaattinaan; avanaith thoonnkalukku naduvae niraுththinaarkal. And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.

26 Simson thanakkuk kailaakukoduththu nadaththukira pillaiyaanndaanotae, veettaைth thaangukira thoonnkalilae naan saaynthukonntirukkumpati avaikalai naan thadavippaarkkattum entan. And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.

27 Antha veedu purusharaalum sthireekalaalum nirainthirunthathu; angae pelistharin sakala pirapukkalum, veettinmael purusharum sthireekalumaaka aerakkuraiya moovaayirampaer, simson vaetikkai kaattukirathaip paarththukkonntirunthaarkal. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.
