நான் அம்மோன் புத்திரரிடத்திலிருந்து சமாதானத்தோடே திரும்பி வரும்போது, என் வீட்டு வாசற்படியிலிருந்து எனக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு வருவது எதுவோ அது கர்த்தருக்கு உரியதாகும். அதைச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகச் செலுத்துவேன் என்றான்.

Naan ammon puththiraridaththilirunthu samaathaanaththotae thirumpi varumpothu, en veettu vaasarpatiyilirunthu enakku ethirkonndu varuvathu ethuvo athu karththarukku uriyathaakum. Athaich sarvaanga thakanapaliyaakach seluththuvaen entan.

of the doors מִדַּלְתֵ֤י delet deh-LET
of my house בֵיתִי֙ bayit ba-YEET
to meet לִקְרָאתִ֔י qirʾâ keer-AH
me, when I return בְּשׁוּבִ֥י šûb shoov
in peace בְשָׁל֖וֹם šālôm sha-LOME
from the children מִבְּנֵ֣י bēn bane
of Ammon, עַמּ֑וֹן ʿammôn ah-MONE
