நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் ஒரு அடையாளத்தை வேண்டிக்கொள்; அதை ஆழத்திலிருந்தாகிலும், உன்னதத்திலிருந்தாகிலும் உண்டாகக் கேட்டுக்கொள் என்று சொன்னார்.

கர்த்தர், “இவையெல்லாம் உண்மை என்று உங்களுக்கு நிரூபிக்க ஒரு அடையாளத்தைக் கேளுங்கள், நீங்கள் விரும்புகிற எந்த அடையாளத்தையும் நீங்கள் கேட்கலாம். அந்த அடையாளம் பாதாளம் போன்ற ஆழமான இடத்தில் இருந்தும் வரலாம், அல்லது அந்த அடையாளம் வானம் போன்ற உயரமான இடத்திலிருந்தும் வரலாம்” என்றார்.
