וַיּוֹלִכֵ֖נִי Afterward he brought hālak אֶל me to ʾēl הַשָּׁ֑עַר the gate, šaʿar שַׁ֕עַר the gate šaʿar אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ʾăšer פֹּנֶ֖ה looketh pānâ דֶּ֥רֶךְ toward derek הַקָּדִֽים׃ the east: qādîm

וְהִנֵּ֗ה And, behold, hinnē כְּבוֹד֙ the glory kābôd אֱלֹהֵ֣י of the God ʾĕlōhîm יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel yiśrāʾēl בָּ֖א came bôʾ מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ from the way derek הַקָּדִ֑ים of the east: qādîm וְקוֹל֗וֹ and his voice qôl כְּקוֹל֙ like a noise qôl מַ֣יִם waters: mayim רַבִּ֔ים of many rab וְהָאָ֖רֶץ and the earth ʾereṣ הֵאִ֥ירָה shined ʾôr מִכְּבֹדֽוֹ׃ with his glory. kābôd

וּכְמַרְאֵ֨ה And according to the appearance marʾe הַמַּרְאֶ֜ה of the vision marʾe אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer רָאִ֗יתִי I saw, rāʾâ כַּמַּרְאֶ֤ה according to the vision marʾe אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer רָאִ֙יתִי֙ I saw rāʾâ בְּבֹאִי֙ when I came bôʾ לְשַׁחֵ֣ת to destroy šāḥat אֶת ʾēt הָעִ֔יר the city: ʿîr וּמַרְא֕וֹת and the visions marʾâ כַּמַּרְאֶ֕ה like the vision marʾe אֲשֶׁ֥ר that ʾăšer רָאִ֖יתִי I saw rāʾâ אֶל by ʾēl נְהַר the river nāhār כְּבָ֑ר Chebar; kĕbār וָאֶפֹּ֖ל and I fell nāpal אֶל upon ʾēl פָּנָֽי׃ my face. pānîm

וּכְב֥וֹד And the glory kābôd יְהוָ֖ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ בָּ֣א came bôʾ אֶל into ʾēl הַבָּ֑יִת the house bayit דֶּ֣רֶךְ by the way derek שַׁ֔עַר of the gate šaʿar אֲשֶׁ֥ר whose ʾăšer פָּנָ֖יו prospect pānîm דֶּ֥רֶךְ toward derek הַקָּדִֽים׃ the east. qādîm

וַתִּשָּׂאֵ֣נִי took me up, nāśāʾ ר֔וּחַ So the spirit rûaḥ וַתְּבִאֵ֕נִי and brought bôʾ אֶל me into ʾēl הֶֽחָצֵ֖ר court; ḥāṣēr הַפְּנִימִ֑י the inner pĕnîmî וְהִנֵּ֛ה and, behold, hinnē מָלֵ֥א filled mālēʾ כְבוֹד the glory kābôd יְהוָ֖ה of the Lord yĕhōwâ הַבָּֽיִת׃ the house. bayit

וָאֶשְׁמַ֛ע And I heard šāmaʿ מִדַּבֵּ֥ר speaking dābar אֵלַ֖י unto ʾēl מֵהַבָּ֑יִת me out of the house; bayit וְאִ֕ישׁ and the man ʾîš הָיָ֥ה hāyâ עֹמֵ֖ד stood ʿāmad אֶצְלִֽי׃ by me. ʾēṣel

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר And he said ʾāmar אֵלַ֗י unto ʾēl בֶּן me, Son bēn אָדָם֙ of man, ʾādām אֶת ʾēt מְק֣וֹם the place māqôm כִּסְאִ֗י of my throne, kissēʾ וְאֶת ʾēt מְקוֹם֙ and the place māqôm כַּפּ֣וֹת of the soles kap רַגְלַ֔י of my feet, regel אֲשֶׁ֧ר where ʾăšer אֶשְׁכָּן I will dwell šākan שָׁ֛ם šām בְּת֥וֹךְ in the midst tāwek בְּנֵֽי of the children bēn יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל of Israel yiśrāʾēl לְעוֹלָ֑ם for ever, ʿôlām וְלֹ֣א no lōʾ יְטַמְּא֣וּ defile, ṭāmēʾ ע֣וֹד more ʿôd בֵּֽית shall the house bayit יִ֠שְׂרָאֵל of Israel yiśrāʾēl שֵׁ֣ם name, šēm קָדְשִׁ֞י and my holy qōdeš הֵ֤מָּה they, hēm וּמַלְכֵיהֶם֙ nor their kings, melek בִּזְנוּתָ֔ם by their whoredom, zĕnût וּבְפִגְרֵ֥י nor by the carcases peger מַלְכֵיהֶ֖ם of their kings melek בָּמוֹתָֽם׃ in their high places. bāmâ

בְּתִתָּ֨ם In their setting nātan סִפָּ֜ם of their threshold sap אֶת by ʾēt סִפִּ֗י my thresholds, sap וּמְזֽוּזָתָם֙ and their post mĕzûzâ אֵ֣צֶל by ʾēṣel מְזוּזָתִ֔י my posts, mĕzûzâ וְהַקִּ֖יר and the wall qîr בֵּינִ֣י between bên וּבֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם bên וְטִמְּא֣וּ׀ me and them, they have even defiled ṭāmēʾ אֶת ʾēt שֵׁ֣ם name šēm קָדְשִׁ֗י my holy qōdeš בְּתֽוֹעֲבוֹתָם֙ by their abominations tôʿēba אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ʾăšer עָשׂ֔וּ they have committed: ʿāśâ וָאֲכַ֥ל wherefore I have consumed ʾākal אֹתָ֖ם ʾēt בְּאַפִּֽי׃ them in mine anger. ʾap

עַתָּ֞ה Now ʿattâ יְרַחֲק֧וּ let them put away rāḥaq אֶת ʾēt זְנוּתָ֛ם their whoredom, zĕnût וּפִגְרֵ֥י and the carcases peger מַלְכֵיהֶ֖ם of their kings, melek מִמֶּ֑נִּי far from min וְשָׁכַנְתִּ֥י me, and I will dwell šākan בְתוֹכָ֖ם in the midst tāwek לְעוֹלָֽם׃ of them for ever. ʿôlām

אַתָּ֣ה Thou ʾattâ בֶן son bēn אָדָ֗ם of man, ʾādām הַגֵּ֤ד shew nāgad אֶת ʾēt בֵּֽית the house bayit יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ of Israel, yiśrāʾēl אֶת ʾēt הַבַּ֔יִת to the house bayit וְיִכָּלְמ֖וּ that they may be ashamed kālam מֵעֲוֹנֽוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם of their iniquities: ʿāwōn וּמָדְד֖וּ and let them measure mādad אֶת ʾēt תָּכְנִֽית׃ the pattern. toknît

וְאִֽם And if ʾim נִכְלְמ֞וּ they be ashamed kālam מִכֹּ֣ל of all kōl אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer עָשׂ֗וּ they have done, ʿāśâ צוּרַ֣ת them the form ṣûrâ הַבַּ֡יִת of the house, bayit וּתְכוּנָת֡וֹ and the fashion tĕkûnâ וּמוֹצָאָ֡יו thereof, and the goings out môṣāʾ וּמוֹבָאָ֣יו thereof, and the comings in môbāʾ וְֽכָל thereof, and all kōl צֽוּרֹתָ֡ו the forms ṣûrâ וְאֵ֣ת ʾēt כָּל thereof, and all kōl חֻקֹּתָיו֩ the ordinances ḥuqqâ וְכָל thereof, and all kōl צ֨וּרֹתָ֤ו the forms ṣûrâ וְכָל thereof, and all kōl תּֽוֹרֹתָו֙ the laws tôrâ הוֹדַ֣ע shew yādaʿ אוֹתָ֔ם ʾēt וּכְתֹ֖ב thereof: and write kātab לְעֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ם in their sight, ʿayin וְיִשְׁמְר֞וּ that they may keep šāmar אֶת ʾēt כָּל the whole kōl צוּרָת֛וֹ form ṣûrâ וְאֶת ʾēt כָּל thereof, and all kōl חֻקֹּתָ֖יו the ordinances ḥuqqâ וְעָשׂ֥וּ thereof, and do them. ʿāśâ אוֹתָֽם׃ ʾēt

זֹ֖את This zōt תּוֹרַ֣ת the law tôrâ הַבָּ֑יִת of the house; bayit עַל Upon ʿal רֹ֣אשׁ the top rōš הָ֠הָר of the mountain har כָּל the whole kōl גְּבֻל֞וֹ limit gĕbûl סָבִ֤יב׀ thereof round about sābîb סָבִיב֙ sābîb קֹ֣דֶשׁ most qōdeš קָדָשִׁ֔ים holy. qōdeš הִנֵּה Behold, hinnē זֹ֖את this zōt תּוֹרַ֥ת the law tôrâ הַבָּֽיִת׃ of the house. bayit

וְאֵ֨לֶּה And these ʾēlle מִדּ֤וֹת the measures middâ הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ of the altar mizbēaḥ בָּֽאַמּ֔וֹת after the cubits: ʾammâ אַמָּ֥ה The cubit ʾammâ אַמָּ֖ה a cubit ʾammâ וָטֹ֑פַח and an hand breadth; ṭōpaḥ וְחֵ֨יק even the bottom ḥêq הָאַמָּ֜ה a cubit, ʾammâ וְאַמָּה a cubit, ʾammâ רֹ֗חַב and the breadth rōḥab וּגְבוּלָ֨הּ and the border gĕbûl אֶל thereof by ʾēl שְׂפָתָ֤הּ the edge śāpâ סָבִיב֙ thereof round about sābîb זֶ֣רֶת span: zeret הָאֶחָ֔ד a ʾeḥād וְזֶ֖ה and this ze גַּ֥ב the higher place gab הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ of the altar. mizbēaḥ

וּמֵחֵ֨יק And from the bottom ḥêq הָאָ֜רֶץ the ground ʾereṣ עַד to ʿad הָעֲזָרָ֤ה settle ʿăzārâ הַתַּחְתּוֹנָה֙ the lower taḥtôn שְׁתַּ֣יִם two šĕnayim אַמּ֔וֹת cubits, ʾammâ וְרֹ֖חַב and the breadth rōḥab אַמָּ֣ה cubit; ʾammâ אֶחָ֑ת one ʾeḥād וּמֵהֳעֲזָרָ֨ה settle ʿăzārâ הַקְּטַנָּ֜ה and from the lesser qāṭān עַד to ʿad הָעֲזָרָ֤ה settle ʿăzārâ הַגְּדוֹלָה֙ the greater gādôl אַרְבַּ֣ע four ʾarbaʿ אַמּ֔וֹת cubits, ʾammâ וְרֹ֖חַב and the breadth rōḥab הָאַמָּֽה׃ cubit. ʾammâ

וְהַֽהַרְאֵ֖ל So the altar ʾăriʾêl אַרְבַּ֣ע four ʾarbaʿ אַמּ֑וֹת cubits; ʾammâ וּמֵהָאֲרִאֵ֣יל and from the altar ʾăriʾêl וּלְמַ֔עְלָה and upward maʿal הַקְּרָנ֖וֹת horns. qeren אַרְבַּֽע׃ four ʾarbaʿ

וְהָאֲרִאֵ֗יל And the altar ʾăriʾêl שְׁתֵּ֤ים twelve šĕnayim עֶשְׂרֵה֙ ʿāśār אֹ֔רֶךְ long, ʾōrek בִּשְׁתֵּ֥ים twelve šĕnayim עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה ʿāśār רֹ֑חַב broad, rōḥab רָב֕וּעַ square rābaʿ אֶ֖ל in ʾēl אַרְבַּ֥עַת the four ʾarbaʿ רְבָעָֽיו׃ squares thereof. rebaʿ

וְהָעֲזָרָ֞ה And the settle ʿăzārâ אַרְבַּ֧ע fourteen ʾarbaʿ עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה ʿāśār אֹ֗רֶךְ long ʾōrek בְּאַרְבַּ֤ע and fourteen ʾarbaʿ עֶשְׂרֵה֙ ʿāśār רֹ֔חַב broad rōḥab אֶ֖ל in ʾēl אַרְבַּ֣עַת the four ʾarbaʿ רְבָעֶ֑יהָ squares rebaʿ וְהַגְּבוּל thereof; and the border gĕbûl סָבִ֨יב about sābîb אוֹתָ֜הּ ʾēt חֲצִ֣י it half ḥēṣî הָאַמָּ֗ה a cubit; ʾammâ וְהַֽחֵיק and the bottom ḥêq לָ֤הּ אַמָּה֙ thereof a cubit ʾammâ סָבִ֔יב about; sābîb וּמַעֲלֹתֵ֖הוּ and his stairs maʿălâ פְּנ֥וֹת shall look pānâ קָדִֽים׃ toward the east. qādîm

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר And he said ʾāmar אֵלַ֗י unto ʾēl בֶּן me, Son bēn אָדָם֙ of man, ʾādām כֹּ֤ה thus kō אָמַר֙ saith ʾāmar אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ʾădōnāy יְהוִ֔ה God; yĕhōwi אֵ֚לֶּה These ʾēlle חֻקּ֣וֹת the ordinances ḥuqqâ הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ of the altar mizbēaḥ בְּי֖וֹם in the day yôm הֵעָֽשׂוֹת֑וֹ when they shall make ʿāśâ לְהַעֲל֤וֹת it, to offer ʿālâ עָלָיו֙ thereon, ʿal עוֹלָ֔ה burnt offerings ʿōlâ וְלִזְרֹ֥ק and to sprinkle zāraq עָלָ֖יו ʿal דָּֽם׃ blood thereon. dām

וְנָתַתָּ֣ה And thou shalt give nātan אֶל to ʾēl הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים the priests kōhēn הַלְוִיִּ֡ם the Levites lēwiyyî אֲשֶׁ֣ר that ʾăšer הֵם֩ hēm מִזֶּ֨רַע be of the seed zeraʿ צָד֜וֹק of Zadok, ṣādôq הַקְּרֹבִ֣ים which approach qārôb אֵלַ֗י unto ʾēl נְאֻ֛ם unto me, saith nĕʾum אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ʾădōnāy יְהוִ֖ה God, yĕhōwâ לְשָֽׁרְתֵ֑נִי me, to minister šārat פַּ֥ר bullock par בֶּן a young bēn בָּקָ֖ר bāqār לְחַטָּֽאת׃ for a sin offering. ḥaṭṭāʾâ

וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ And thou shalt take lāqaḥ מִדָּמ֗וֹ of the blood dām וְנָ֨תַתָּ֜ה thereof, and put nātan עַל on ʿal אַרְבַּ֤ע the four ʾarbaʿ קַרְנֹתָיו֙ horns qeren וְאֶל of it, and on ʾēl אַרְבַּע֙ the four ʾarbaʿ פִּנּ֣וֹת corners pinnâ הָעֲזָרָ֔ה of the settle, ʿăzārâ וְאֶֽל and upon ʾēl הַגְּב֖וּל the border gĕbûl סָבִ֑יב round about: sābîb וְחִטֵּאתָ֥ thus shalt thou cleanse ḥāṭāʾ אוֹת֖וֹ ʾēt וְכִפַּרְתָּֽהוּ׃ and purge it. kāpar

וְלָ֣קַחְתָּ֔ Thou shalt take lāqaḥ אֵ֖ת ʾēt הַפָּ֣ר the bullock par הַֽחַטָּ֑את also of the sin offering, ḥaṭṭāʾâ וּשְׂרָפוֹ֙ and he shall burn śārap בְּמִפְקַ֣ד it in the appointed place mipqād הַבַּ֔יִת of the house, bayit מִח֖וּץ without ḥûṣ לַמִּקְדָּֽשׁ׃ the sanctuary. miqdoš

וּבַיּוֹם֙ day yôm הַשֵּׁנִ֔י And on the second šēnî תַּקְרִ֛יב thou shalt offer qārab שְׂעִיר a kid śāʿîr עִזִּ֥ים of the goats ʿēz תָּמִ֖ים without blemish tāmîm לְחַטָּ֑את for a sin offering; ḥaṭṭāʾâ וְחִטְּאוּ֙ and they shall cleanse ḥāṭāʾ אֶת ʾēt הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ the altar, mizbēaḥ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר as ʾăšer חִטְּא֖וּ they did cleanse ḥāṭāʾ בַּפָּֽר׃ with the bullock. par

בְּכַלּוֹתְךָ֖ When thou hast made an end kālâ מֵֽחַטֵּ֑א of cleansing ḥāṭāʾ תַּקְרִיב֙ thou shalt offer qārab פַּ֣ר bullock par בֶּן a young bēn בָּקָ֣ר bāqār תָּמִ֔ים without blemish, tāmîm וְאַ֥יִל and a ram ʾayil מִן out of min הַצֹּ֖אן the flock ṣōn תָּמִֽים׃ without blemish. tāmîm

וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֖ם And thou shalt offer qārab לִפְנֵ֣י them before pānîm יְהוָ֑ה the Lord, yĕhōwâ וְהִשְׁלִ֨יכוּ shall cast šālak הַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים and the priests kōhēn עֲלֵיהֶם֙ upon ʿal מֶ֔לַח salt melaḥ וְהֶעֱל֥וּ them, and they shall offer them up ʿālâ אוֹתָ֛ם ʾēt עֹלָ֖ה a burnt offering ʿōlâ לַֽיהוָֽה׃ unto the Lord. yĕhōwâ

שִׁבְעַ֣ת Seven šebaʿ יָמִ֔ים days yôm תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה shalt thou prepare ʿāśâ שְׂעִיר a goat śāʿîr חַטָּ֖את a sin offering: ḥaṭṭāʾâ לַיּ֑וֹם every day yôm וּפַ֧ר bullock, par בֶּן a young bēn בָּקָ֛ר bāqār וְאַ֥יִל and a ram ʾayil מִן out of min הַצֹּ֖אן the flock, ṣōn תְּמִימִ֥ים without blemish. tāmîm יַעֲשֽׂוּ׃ they shall also prepare ʿāśâ

שִׁבְעַ֣ת Seven šebaʿ יָמִ֗ים days yôm יְכַפְּרוּ֙ shall they purge kāpar אֶת ʾēt הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ the altar mizbēaḥ וְטִֽהֲר֖וּ and purify ṭāhēr אֹת֑וֹ ʾēt וּמִלְא֖וּ it; and they shall consecrate mālēʾ יָדָֽו׃ themselves. yād

וִֽיכַלּ֖וּ are expired, kālâ אֶת And when ʾēt הַיָּמִ֑ים these days yôm וְהָיָה֩ it shall be, hāyâ בַיּ֨וֹם day, yôm הַשְּׁמִינִ֜י upon the eighth šĕmînî וָהָ֗לְאָה and forward, holʾâ יַעֲשׂ֨וּ shall make ʿāśâ הַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים the priests kōhēn עַל upon ʿal הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ the altar, mizbēaḥ אֶת ʾēt עוֹלֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ your burnt offerings ʿōlâ וְאֶת ʾēt שַׁלְמֵיכֶ֔ם and your peace offerings; šelem וְרָצִ֣אתִי and I will accept rāṣâ אֶתְכֶ֔ם ʾēt נְאֻ֖ם you, saith nĕʾum אֲדֹנָ֥י the Lord ʾădōnāy יְהוִֹֽה׃ God. yĕhōwi
