ஒருவன் தன் சிநேகிதனோடே பேசுவதுபோல, கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடே முகமுகமாய்ப் பேசினார்; பின்பு, அவன் பாளயத்துக்குத் திரும்பினான்; நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா என்னும் அவனுடைய பணிவிடைக்காரனாகிய வாலிபன் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தை விட்டுப் பிரியாதிருந்தான்.

இவ்வாறு கர்த்தர் மோசேயுடன் நேருக்கு நேராக நின்று பேசினார். ஒரு மனிதன் தன் நண்பனிடம் பேசுவதுபோல கர்த்தர் மோசேயுடன் பேசினார். கர்த்தரிடம் பேசியபிறகு, மோசே தங்குமிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பினான். ஆனால் அவனது உதவியாளன் எப்போதும் கூடரத்திலேயே இருந்தான். அந்த உதவியாளன் நூனின் மகனாகிய யோசுவா என்பவனாவான்.
