Deuteronomy 9 in Tamil

1 இஸ்ரவேலே, கேள்: நீ இப்பொழுது யோர்தானைக் கடந்து, உன்னிலும் ஜனம் பெருத்ததும் பலத்ததுமான ஜாதிகளைத் துரத்தி, வானத்தையளாவிய மதில் சூழ்ந்த பெரிய பட்டணங்களைப் பிடித்து, Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,

2 ஏனாக்கின் புத்திரராகிய பெரியவர்களும் நெடியவர்களுமான ஜனங்களைத் துரத்திவிடப்போகிறாய்: இவர்கள் செய்தியை நீ அறிந்து, ஏனாக் புத்திரருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பவன் யார் என்று சொல்லப்படுவதை நீ கேட்டிருக்கிறாய். A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!

3 உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்கு முன்பாகக் கடந்துபோகிறவர் என்பதை இன்று அறியக்கடவாய்; அவர் பட்சிக்கிற அக்கினியைப்போல அவர்களை அழிப்பார்; அவர்களை உனக்கு முன்பாக விழப்பண்ணுவார்; இவ்விதமாய்க் கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சொன்னபடியே, நீ அவர்களைச் சீக்கிரமாய்த் துரத்தி, அவர்களை அழிப்பாய். Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

4 உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களை உனக்கு முன்பாகத்துரத்துகையில், நீ உன் இருதயத்திலே: என் நீதியினிமித்தம் இந்த தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்படி கர்த்தர் என்னை அழைத்துவந்தார் என்று சொல்லாயாக; அந்த ஜாதிகளுடைய ஆகாமியத்தினிமித்தமே கர்த்தர் அவர்களை உனக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்தி விடுகிறார். Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.

5 உன் நீதியினிமித்தமும் உன் இருதயத்தினுடைய உத்தமத்தினிமித்தமும் நீ அவர்கள் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரிக்கும்படி பிரவேசிப்பதில்லை; அந்த ஜாதிகளுடைய ஆகாமியத்தினிமித்தமாகவும், ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபு என்னும் உன் பிதாக்களுக்குக் கர்த்தர் ஆணையிட்டுச் சொன்ன வார்த்தையை நிறைவேற்றும்படியாகவும், உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களை உனக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடுகிறார். Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

6 ஆகையால் உன் நீதியினிமித்தம் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்கு அந்த நல்ல தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரிக்கக்கொடார் என்பதை அறியக்கடவாய்; நீ வணங்காக் கழுத்துள்ள ஜனம். Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.

7 நீ வனாந்தரத்தில் உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் உண்டாக்கினதை நினை, அதை மறவாயாக; நீங்கள் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட நாள் முதல், இவ்விடத்தில் வந்து சேருமட்டும், கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணினீர்கள். Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.

8 ஓரேபிலும் நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் உண்டாக்கினதினால், கர்த்தர் உங்களை அழிக்கத்தக்கதான உக்கிரங்கொண்டார். Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.

9 கர்த்தர் உங்களோடே பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கைப் பலகைகளாகிய கற்பலகைகளைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படி நான் மலையில் ஏறினபோது, நாற்பதுநாள் இரவும் பகலும் மலையில் தங்கி அப்பம் புசியாமலும் தண்ணீர் குடியாமலும் இருந்தேன். When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:

10 அப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய விரலினால் எழுதியிருந்த இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளைக் கர்த்தர் என்னிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; சபை கூடியிருந்த நாளில் கர்த்தர் மலையிலே அக்கினியின் நடுவிலிருந்து உங்களுடனே பேசின வார்த்தைகளின்படியே அவைகளில் எழுதியிருந்தது. And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.

11 இரவும் பகலும் நாற்பதுநாள் முடிந்து, கர்த்தர் எனக்கு அந்த உடன்படிக்கையின் இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளைக் கொடுக்கிறபோது, And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.

12 கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்து, சீக்கிரமாய் இவ்விடம் விட்டு, இறங்கிப்போ; நீ எகிப்திலிருந்து அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்த உன் ஜனங்கள் தங்களைக் கெடுத்துக்கொண்டார்கள்; நான் அவர்களுக்கு விதித்த வழியை அவர்கள் சீக்கிரமாக விட்டு விலகி, வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட விக்கிரகத்தைத் தங்களுக்காக உண்டாக்கினார்கள் என்றார். And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.

13 பின்னும் கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: இந்த ஜனங்களைப் பார்த்தேன்; அது வணங்காக் கழுத்துள்ள ஜனம். Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

14 ஆகையால், நான் அவர்களை அழித்து, அவர்கள் பேரை வானத்தின்கீழ் அற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணும்படி, நீ என்னை விட்டுவிடு; அவர்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் உன்னைப் பலத்ததும் ஜனம் பெருத்ததுமான ஜாதியாக்குவேன் என்றார். Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.

15 அப்பொழுது நான் திரும்பி மலையிலிருந்து இறங்கினேன், மலையானது அக்கினி பற்றி எரிந்துகொண்டிருந்தது; உடன்படிக்கையின் இரண்டு பலகைகளும் என் இரண்டு கைகளிலும் இருந்தது. So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.

16 நான் பார்த்தபோது, நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவஞ்செய்து, வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட கன்றுக்குட்டியை உங்களுக்கு உண்டாக்கி, கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கு விதித்த வழியைச் சீக்கிரமாய் விட்டு விலகினதைக் கண்டேன். And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.

17 அப்பொழுது நான் என் இரண்டு கைகளிலும் இருந்த அந்த இரண்டு பலகைகளையும் ஓங்கி எறிந்து, அவைகளை உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக உடைத்துப்போட்டேன். And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.

18 கர்த்தரைக் கோபப்படுத்துவதற்கு நீங்கள் அவருடைய சமுகத்தில் பொல்லாப்புச் செய்து நடப்பித்த உங்களுடைய சகல பாவங்கள் நிமித்தமும், நான் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக முன்போலும் இரவும் பகலும் நாற்பதுநாள் விழுந்துகிடந்தேன்; நான் அப்பம் புசிக்கவுமில்லை, தண்ணீர் குடிக்கவுமில்லை. And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

19 கர்த்தர் உங்களை அழிக்கும்படி உங்கள்மேல் கொண்டிருந்த கோபத்திற்கும் உக்கிரத்திற்கும் பயந்திருந்தேன்; கர்த்தர் அந்த முறையும் என் மன்றாட்டைக் கேட்டார். For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.

20 ஆரோன்மேலும் கர்த்தர் மிகவும் கோபங்கொண்டு, அவனை அழிக்கவேண்டுமென்றிருந்தார்; அப்பொழுது ஆரோனுக்காகவும் விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினேன். And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.

21 உங்கள் பாவக்கிரியையாகிய அந்தக் கன்றுக்குட்டியை நான் எடுத்து அக்கினியில் எரித்து, அதை நொறுக்கி, தூளாய்ப்போகுமட்டும் அரைத்து, அந்தத் தூளை மலையிலிருந்து ஓடுகிற ஆற்றிலே போட்டுவிட்டேன். And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.

22 தபேராவிலும், மாசாவிலும், கிப்ரோத் அத்தாவாவிலும் கர்த்தருக்குக் கடுங்கோபம் உண்டாக்கினீர்கள். And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.

23 நீங்கள் போய், நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் காதேஸ்பர்னேயாவிலிருந்து உங்களை அனுப்புகையிலும், நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விசுவாசியாமலும், அவருடைய சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும், அவருடைய வாக்குக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணினீர்கள். Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.

24 நான் உங்களை அறிந்த நாள்முதற்கொண்டு, நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம்பண்ணுகிறவர்களாயிருந்தீர்கள். Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.

25 கர்த்தர் உங்களை அழிப்பேன் என்று சொன்னபடியினால், நான் முன்போல் கர்த்தரின் சமுகத்தில் இரவும் பகலும் நாற்பதுநாள் விழுந்துகிடந்தேன்; அப்பொழுது நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கிப் பண்ணின விண்ணப்பமாவது: Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.

26 கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, தேவரீர் உம்முடைய மகத்துவத்தினாலே மீட்டு, பலத்த கையினால் எகிப்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவந்த உமது ஜனத்தையும், உமது சுதந்தரத்தையும் அழிக்காதிருப்பீராக. I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

27 கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்கு வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணியிருந்த தேசத்தில் அவர்களைப் பிரவேசிக்கப்பண்ணக் கூடாமற்போனபடியினாலும், அவர்களை வெறுத்தபடியினாலும், அவர்களை வனாந்தரத்தில் கொன்றுபோடும்படிக்கே கொண்டுவந்தார் என்று நாங்கள் விட்டுப் புறப்படும்படி நீர் செய்த தேசத்தின் குடிகள் சொல்லாதபடிக்கு, Remember thy servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; look not unto the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin:

28 தேவரீர் இந்த ஜனங்களின் முரட்டாட்டத்தையும், இவர்கள் ஆகாமியத்தையும், இவர்கள் பாவத்தையும் பாராமல், உமது தாசராகிய ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கு யாக்கோபு என்பவர்களை நினைத்தருளும். Lest the land whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the land which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness.

29 நீர் உமது மகா பலத்தினாலρம், ஓ٠ύகிய ʠρயத்தினாலும் புறப்படப்பண்ணின இவர்கள் உமது ஜனமும் உமது சுதந்தரமுமாயிருக்கிறார்களே என்று விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணினேன். Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.

1 Isravaelae, kael: nee ippoluthu yorthaanaik kadanthu, unnilum janam peruththathum palaththathumaana jaathikalaith thuraththi, vaanaththaiyalaaviya mathil soolntha periya pattanangalaip pitiththu, Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven,

2 Aenaakkin puththiraraakiya periyavarkalum netiyavarkalumaana janangalaith thuraththividappokiraay: ivarkal seythiyai nee arinthu, aenaak puththirarukku munpaaka nirpavan yaar entu sollappaduvathai nee kaettirukkiraay. A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak!

3 Un thaevanaakiya Karththar unakku munpaakak kadanthupokiravar enpathai intu ariyakkadavaay; avar patchikkira akkiniyaippola avarkalai alippaar; avarkalai unakku munpaaka vilappannnuvaar; ivvithamaayk Karththar unakkuch sonnapatiyae, nee avarkalaich seekkiramaayth thuraththi, avarkalai alippaay. Understand therefore this day, that the LORD thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.

4 Un thaevanaakiya Karththar avarkalai unakku munpaakaththuraththukaiyil, nee un iruthayaththilae: en neethiyinimiththam intha thaesaththaich suthanthariththukkollumpati Karththar ennai alaiththuvanthaar entu sollaayaaka; antha jaathikalutaiya aakaamiyaththinimiththamae Karththar avarkalai unakku munpaakath thuraththi vidukiraar. Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee.

5 Un neethiyinimiththamum un iruthayaththinutaiya uththamaththinimiththamum nee avarkal thaesaththaich suthantharikkumpati piravaesippathillai; antha jaathikalutaiya aakaamiyaththinimiththamaakavum, Abraham eesaakku yaakkopu ennum un pithaakkalukkuk Karththar aannaiyittuch sonna vaarththaiyai niraivaettaுmpatiyaakavum, un thaevanaakiya Karththar avarkalai unakku munpaakath thuraththividukiraar. Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

6 Aakaiyaal un neethiyinimiththam un thaevanaakiya Karththar unakku antha nalla thaesaththaich suthantharikkakkodaar enpathai ariyakkadavaay; nee vanangaak kaluththulla janam. Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.

7 Nee vanaantharaththil un thaevanaakiya karththarukkuk kadungaோpam unndaakkinathai ninai, athai maravaayaaka; neengal ekipthu thaesaththilirunthu purappatta naal muthal, ivvidaththil vanthu serumattum, karththarukku virothamaayk kalakampannnnineerkal. Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the land of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD.

8 Oraepilum neengal karththarukkuk kadungaோpam unndaakkinathinaal, Karththar ungalai alikkaththakkathaana ukkirangaொnndaar. Also in Horeb ye provoked the LORD to wrath, so that the LORD was angry with you to have destroyed you.

9 Karththar ungalotae pannnnina udanpatikkaip palakaikalaakiya karpalakaikalaip pettaுkkollumpati naan malaiyil aerinapothu, naarpathunaal iravum pakalum malaiyil thangi appam pusiyaamalum thannnneer kutiyaamalum irunthaen. When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which the LORD made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights, I neither did eat bread nor drink water:

10 Appoluthu thaevanutaiya viralinaal eluthiyiruntha iranndu karpalakaikalaik Karththar ennidaththil oppukkoduththaar; Sabai kootiyiruntha naalil Karththar malaiyilae akkiniyin naduvilirunthu ungaludanae paesina vaarththaikalinpatiyae avaikalil eluthiyirunthathu. And the LORD delivered unto me two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them was written according to all the words, which the LORD spake with you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.

11 Iravum pakalum naarpathunaal mutinthu, Karththar enakku antha udanpatikkaiyin iranndu karpalakaikalaik kodukkirapothu, And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.

12 Karththar ennai Nnokki: nee elunthu, seekkiramaay ivvidam vittu, irangippo; nee ekipthilirunthu alaiththukkonnduvantha un janangal thangalaik keduththukkonndaarkal; naan avarkalukku vithiththa valiyai avarkal seekkiramaaka vittu vilaki, vaarppikkappatta vikkirakaththaith thangalukkaaka unndaakkinaarkal entar. And the LORD said unto me, Arise, get thee down quickly from hence; for thy people which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they are quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.

13 Pinnum Karththar ennai Nnokki: intha janangalaip paarththaen; athu vanangaak kaluththulla janam. Furthermore the LORD spake unto me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

14 Aakaiyaal, naan avarkalai aliththu, avarkal paerai vaanaththingeel attaுppokappannnumpati, nee ennai vittuvidu; avarkalaippaarkkilum unnaip palaththathum janam peruththathumaana jaathiyaakkuvaen entar. Let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under heaven: and I will make of thee a nation mightier and greater than they.

15 Appoluthu naan thirumpi malaiyilirunthu iranginaen, malaiyaanathu akkini patti erinthukonntirunthathu; udanpatikkaiyin iranndu palakaikalum en iranndu kaikalilum irunthathu. So I turned and came down from the mount, and the mount burned with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.

16 Naan paarththapothu, neengal ungal thaevanaakiya karththarukku virothamaakap paavanjaெythu, vaarppikkappatta kantukkuttiyai ungalukku unndaakki, Karththar ungalukku vithiththa valiyaich seekkiramaay vittu vilakinathaik kanntaen. And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you.

17 Appoluthu naan en iranndu kaikalilum iruntha antha iranndu palakaikalaiyum ongi erinthu, avaikalai ungal kannkalukku munpaaka utaiththuppottaேn. And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes.

18 Karththaraik kopappaduththuvatharku neengal avarutaiya samukaththil pollaappuch seythu nadappiththa ungalutaiya sakala paavangal nimiththamum, naan karththarukku munpaaka munpolum iravum pakalum naarpathunaal vilunthukidanthaen; naan appam pusikkavumillai, thannnneer kutikkavumillai. And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

19 Karththar ungalai alikkumpati ungalmael konntiruntha kopaththirkum ukkiraththirkum payanthirunthaen; Karththar antha muraiyum en mantattaைk kaettar. For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also.

20 Aaronmaelum Karththar mikavum kopangaொnndu, avanai alikkavaenndumentirunthaar; appoluthu aaronukkaakavum vinnnappampannnninaen. And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time.

21 Ungal paavakkiriyaiyaakiya anthak kantukkuttiyai naan eduththu akkiniyil eriththu, athai noraுkki, thoolaayppokumattum araiththu, anthath thoolai malaiyilirunthu odukira aattilae pottuvittaேn. And I took your sin, the calf which ye had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, and ground it very small, even until it was as small as dust: and I cast the dust thereof into the brook that descended out of the mount.

22 Thapaeraavilum, maasaavilum, kiproth aththaavaavilum karththarukkuk kadungaோpam unndaakkineerkal. And at Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibrothhattaavah, ye provoked the LORD to wrath.

23 Neengal poy, naan ungalukkuk koduththa thaesaththaich suthanthariththukkollungal entu Karththar kaathaesparnaeyaavilirunthu ungalai anuppukaiyilum, neengal ungal thaevanaakiya karththarai visuvaasiyaamalum, avarutaiya saththaththukkuch sevikodaamalum, avarutaiya vaakkukku virothamaayk kalakampannnnineerkal. 24 Naan ungalai arintha naalmutharkonndu, neengal karththarukku virothamaakak kalakampannnukiravarkalaayiruntheerkal. Ye have been rebellious against the LORD from the day that I knew you.

25 Karththar ungalai alippaen entu sonnapatiyinaal, naan munpol karththarin samukaththil iravum pakalum naarpathunaal vilunthukidanthaen; appoluthu naan karththarai Nnokkip pannnnina vinnnappamaavathu: Thus I fell down before the LORD forty days and forty nights, as I fell down at the first; because the LORD had said he would destroy you.

26 Karththaraakiya aanndavarae, thaevareer ummutaiya makaththuvaththinaalae meettu, palaththa kaiyinaal ekipthilirunthu konnduvantha umathu janaththaiyum, umathu suthantharaththaiyum alikkaathiruppeeraaka. I prayed therefore unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, destroy not thy people and thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed through thy greatness, which thou hast brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.

29 Neer umathu makaa palaththinaalaρm, o٠ύkiya ʠρyaththinaalum purappadappannnnina ivarkal umathu janamum umathu suthantharamumaayirukkiraarkalae entu vinnnappampannnninaen. Yet they are thy people and thine inheritance, which thou broughtest out by thy mighty power and by thy stretched out arm.
