1 உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குக் கொடுக்கும் தேசத்தின் ஜாதிகளை உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் வேரற்றுப்போகப் பண்ணுவதினால், நீ அவர்கள் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்கள் பட்டணங்களிலும் அவர்கள் வீடுகளிலும் குடியேறும்போது, When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;

2 நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரிக்கக் கொடுக்கும் உன் தேசத்தின் நடுவிலே, உனக்காக மூன்று பட்டணங்களைப் பிரித்து வைக்கக்கடவாய். Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.

3 கொலைசெய்தவன் எவனும் அங்கே ஓடிப்போகும்படி உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னைச் சுதந்தரிக்கப்பண்ணப் போகிற உன் தேசத்தின் எல்லையை நீ மூன்று பங்காகப் பகுத்து அதற்கு வழியை உண்டுபண்ணக்கடவாய். Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.

4 கொலைசெய்து அங்கே ஓடிப்போய், உயிரோடிருக்கத்தக்கவன் யாரென்றால்: தான் முன்னே பகைத்திராத பிறனொருவனை மனதறியாமல் கொன்றவன் தானே. And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbor ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;

5 ஒருவன் விறகுவெட்ட மற்றொருவனோடே காட்டில் போய், மரத்தை வெட்டத் தன் கையிலிருந்த கோடரியை ஓங்கும்போது, இரும்பானது காம்பை விட்டுக் கழன்று மற்றவன் மேல் பட்டதினால் அவன் இறந்துபோனால், As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbor to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbor, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:

6 இரத்தப்பழிக்காரன் தன் மனம் எரிகையில், கொலைசெய்தவனை வழி தூரமாயிருக்கிறதினாலே பின் தொடர்ந்து பிடித்து, அவனைக் கொன்று போடாதபடிக்கு, இவன் அந்தப் பட்டணங்கள் ஒன்றில் ஓடிப்போய் உயிரோடிருப்பானாக; இவன் அவனை முன்னே பகைக்காதபடியினால், இவன்மேல் சாவுக்கான குற்றம் சுமரவில்லை. Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.

7 இதினிமித்தம் மூன்று பட்டணங்களை உனக்காகப் பிரித்துவைக்கக்கடவாய் என்று நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன். Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.

8 நீ உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, எந்நாளும் அவர் வழிகளில் நடப்பதற்காக, இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கற்பிக்கிற இந்த எல்லாக் கற்பனைகளையும் கைக்கொண்டு அதின்படி செய்து, And if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;

9 உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன் பிதாக்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டபடியே, அவர் உன் எல்லையை விஸ்தாரமாக்கி, உன் பிதாக்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று சொன்ன தேசம் முழுவதையும் உனக்குக் கொடுத்தால், If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

10 அப்பொழுது உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுக்கும் உன் தேசத்தில் குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தம் சிந்தப்படுகிறதினால் உன்மேல் இரத்தப்பழி சுமராதபடிக்கு, இந்த மூன்று பட்டணங்களும் அல்லாமல் இன்னும் மூன்று பட்டணங்களை ஏற்படுத்தக்கடவாய். That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

11 ஒருவன் பிறனொருவனைப் பகைத்து, அவனுக்குப் பதிவிருந்து, அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்பி, அவன் சாகும்படி அவனை அடித்து, இந்தப் பட்டணங்களில் ஒன்றில் ஓடிப்போயிருப்பானாகில், But if any man hate his neighbor, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:

12 அந்தப் பட்டணத்தின் மூப்பர்கள் ஆள் அனுப்பி, அங்கேயிருந்து அவனைக் கொண்டுவரும்படி செய்து, அவன் சாகும் படிக்கு அவனை இரத்தப்பழி வாங்குகிறவன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கக்கடவர்கள். Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

13 உன் கண் அவனுக்கு இரங்கவேண்டாம்; குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தப்பழியை இஸ்ரவேலை விட்டு விலக்கக்கடவாய்; அப்பொழுது நீ நன்றாயிருப்பாய். Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.

1 Un thaevanaakiya Karththar unakkuk kodukkum thaesaththin jaathikalai un thaevanaakiya Karththar vaerattaுppokap pannnuvathinaal, nee avarkal thaesaththaich suthanthariththukkonndu, avarkal pattanangalilum avarkal veedukalilum kutiyaeraுmpothu, When the LORD thy God hath cut off the nations, whose land the LORD thy God giveth thee, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their cities, and in their houses;

2 Nee un thaevanaakiya Karththar unakkuch suthantharikkak kodukkum un thaesaththin naduvilae, unakkaaka moontu pattanangalaip piriththu vaikkakkadavaay. Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it.

3 Kolaiseythavan evanum angae otippokumpati un thaevanaakiya Karththar unnaich suthantharikkappannnap pokira un thaesaththin ellaiyai nee moontu pangaakap pakuththu atharku valiyai unndupannnakkadavaay. Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may flee thither.

4 Kolaiseythu angae otippoy, uyirotirukkaththakkavan yaarental: thaan munnae pakaiththiraatha piranoruvanai manathariyaamal kontavan thaanae. And this is the case of the slayer, which shall flee thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbor ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past;

5 Oruvan virakuvetta mattaொruvanotae kaattil poy, maraththai vettath than kaiyiliruntha kodariyai ongumpothu, irumpaanathu kaampai vittuk kalantu mattavan mael pattathinaal avan iranthuponaal, As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbor to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbor, that he die; he shall flee unto one of those cities, and live:

6 Iraththappalikkaaran than manam erikaiyil, kolaiseythavanai vali thooramaayirukkirathinaalae pin thodarnthu pitiththu, avanaik kontu podaathapatikku, ivan anthap pattanangal ontil otippoy uyirotiruppaanaaka; ivan avanai munnae pakaikkaathapatiyinaal, ivanmael saavukkaana kuttam sumaravillai. Lest the avenger of the blood pursue the slayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and slay him; whereas he was not worthy of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past.

7 Ithinimiththam moontu pattanangalai unakkaakap piriththuvaikkakkadavaay entu naan unakkuk kattalaiyidukiraேn. Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.

8 Nee un thaevanaakiya karththaridaththil anpukoornthu, ennaalum avar valikalil nadappatharkaaka, intu naan unakkuk karpikkira intha ellaak karpanaikalaiyum kaikkonndu athinpati seythu, And if the LORD thy God enlarge thy coast, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which he promised to give unto thy fathers;

9 Un thaevanaakiya Karththar un pithaakkalukku aannaiyittapatiyae, avar un ellaiyai visthaaramaakki, un pithaakkalukkuk koduppaen entu sonna thaesam muluvathaiyum unakkuk koduththaal, If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

10 Appoluthu un thaevanaakiya Karththar unakkuch suthantharamaakak kodukkum un thaesaththil kuttamillaatha iraththam sinthappadukirathinaal unmael iraththappali sumaraathapatikku, intha moontu pattanangalum allaamal innum moontu pattanangalai aerpaduththakkadavaay. That innocent blood be not shed in thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee.

11 Oruvan piranoruvanaip pakaiththu, avanukkup pathivirunthu, avanukku virothamaay elumpi, avan saakumpati avanai atiththu, inthap pattanangalil ontil otippoyiruppaanaakil, But if any man hate his neighbor, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities:

12 Anthap pattanaththin moopparkal aal anuppi, angaeyirunthu avanaik konnduvarumpati seythu, avan saakum patikku avanai iraththappali vaangukiravan kaiyil oppukkodukkakkadavarkal. Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die.

13 Un kann avanukku irangavaenndaam; kuttamillaatha iraththappaliyai isravaelai vittu vilakkakkadavaay; appoluthu nee nantayiruppaay. Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.
