பின்பு ராஜா தானியேலைப் பெரியவனாக்கி, அவனுக்கு அநேகம் சிறந்த வெகுமதிகளைக் கொடுத்து, அவனை பாபிலோன் மாகாணம் முழுதுக்கும் அதிபதியாகவும், பாபிலோனிலுள்ள சகல ஞானிகளின் பிரதான அதிகாரியாகவும் நியமித்தான்.
