அப்பொழுது ஆண்டவர் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீமையும் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பாத்திரங்களில் சிலவற்றையும் அவன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்; அவன் அந்தப் பாத்திரங்களைச் சினேயார் தேசத்திலுள்ள தன் தேவனுடைய கோவிலுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவைகளைத் தன் தேவனுடைய பண்டசாலைக்குள் வைத்தான்.

கர்த்தர் யூதாவின் அரசனான யோயாக்கீமை, நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் தோற்கடிக்கும்படி அனுமதித்தார். தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்து நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அனைத்துப் பாத்திரங்களையும் மற்ற பொருட்களையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டான். நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அவற்றைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனான். நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அப்பொருட்களை அவனது விக்கிரக தெய்வங்களின் ஆலயத்தில் வைத்தான்.
