Psalm 73 in Tamil

1 சுத்த இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலருக்கு தேவன் நல்லவராகவே இருக்கிறார். Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

2 ஆனாலும் என் கால்கள் தள்ளாடுதலுக்கும், என் அடிகள் சறுக்குதலுக்கும் சற்றே தப்பிற்று. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

3 துன்மார்க்கரின் வாழ்வை நான் காண்கையில், வீம்புக்காரராகிய அவர்கள்மேல் பொறாமைகொண்டேன். For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4 மரணபரியந்தம் அவர்களுக்கு இடுக்கண்களில்லை; அவர்களுடைய பெலன் உறுதியாயிருக்கிறது. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

5 நரர் படும் வருத்தத்தில் அகப்படார்கள்; மனுஷர் அடையும் உபாதியை அடையார்கள். They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

6 ஆகையால் பெருமை சரப்பணியைப்போல் அவர்களைச் சுற்றிக்கொள்ளும், கொடுமை ஆடையைப்போல் அவர்களை மூடிக்கொள்ளும். Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

7 அவர்கள் கண்கள் கொழுப்பினால் எடுப்பாய்ப் பார்க்கிறது; அவர்கள் இருதயம் விரும்புவதிலும் அதிகமாய் நடந்தேறுகிறது. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

8 அவர்கள் சீர்கெட்டுப்போய், அகந்தையாய்க் கொடுமை பேசுகிறார்கள்; இறுமாப்பாய்ப் பேசுகிறார்கள். They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

9 தங்கள் வாய் வானமட்டும் எட்டப்பேசுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் நாவு பூமியெங்கும் உலாவுகிறது. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

10 ஆகையால் அவருடைய ஜனங்கள் இந்த வழியாகவே திரும்புகிறார்கள்; தண்ணீர்கள் அவர்களுக்குப் பரிபூரணமாய்ச் சுரந்துவரும். Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

11 தேவனுக்கு அது எப்படித் தெரியும்? உன்னதமானவருக்கு அதைப்பற்றி அறிவு உண்டோ? என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள். And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

12 இதோ, இவர்கள் துன்மார்க்கர்; இவர்கள் என்றும் சுகஜீவிகளாயிருந்து, ஆஸ்தியைப் பெருகப்பண்ணுகிறார்கள். Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

13 நான் விருதாவாகவே என் இருதயத்தைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணி, குற்றமில்லாமையிலே என் கைகளைக் கழுவினேன். Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

14 நாள்தோறும் நான் வாதிக்கப்பட்டும், காலைதோறும் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டும் இருக்கிறேன். For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

15 இவ்விதமாய்ப் பேசுவேன் என்று நான் சொன்னேனானால். இதோ, உம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளின் சந்ததிக்குத் துரோகியாவேன். If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.

16 இதை அறியும்படிக்கு யோசித்துப்பார்த்தேன்; நான் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

17 அவர்கள் முடிவைக் கவனித்து உணருமளவும், அது என் பார்வைக்கு விசனமாயிருந்தது. Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

18 நிச்சயமாகவே நீர் அவர்களைச் சறுக்கலான இடங்களில் நிறுத்தி, பாழான இடங்களில் விழப்பண்ணுகிறீர். Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.

19 அவர்கள் ஒரு நிமிஷத்தில் எவ்வளவு பாழாய்ப்போகிறார்கள்! பயங்கரங்களால் அழிந்து நிர்மூலமாகிறார்கள். How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

20 நித்திரை தெளிந்தவுடனே சொப்பனம் ஒழிவதுபோல், ஆண்டவரே, நீர் விழிக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் வேஷத்தை இகழுவீர். As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.

21 இப்படியாக என் மனம் கசந்தது, என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்களிலே குத்துண்டேன். Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

22 நான் காரியம் அறியாத மூடனானேன்; உமக்கு முன்பாக மிருகம்போலிருந்தேன். So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.

23 ஆனாலும் நான் எப்பொழுதும் உம்மோடிருக்கிறேன்; என் வலதுகையைப் பிடித்துத் தாங்குகிறீர். Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

24 உம்முடைய ஆலோசனையின்படி நீர் என்னை நடத்தி, முடிவிலே என்னை மகிமையில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வீர். Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

25 பரலோகத்தில் உம்மையல்லாமல் எனக்கு யார் உண்டு? பூலோகத்தில் உம்மைத் தவிர எனக்கு வேறே விருப்பமில்லை. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

26 என் மாம்சமும் என் இருதயமும் மாண்டுபோகிறது; தேவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் என் இருதயத்தின் கன்மலையும் என் பங்குமாயிருக்கிறார். My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

27 இதோ, உம்மைவிட்டுத் தூரமாய்ப்போகிறவர்கள் நாசமடைவார்கள்; உம்மைவிட்டுச் சோரம்போகிற அனைவரையும் சங்கரிப்பீர். For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

28 எனக்கோ, தேவனை அண்டிக்கொண்டிருப்பதே நலம்; நான் உமது கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் சொல்லிவரும்படி கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர்மேல் என் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்திருக்கிறேன். But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

1 Suththa iruthayamullavarkalaakiya isravaelarukku Dhevan nallavaraakavae irukkiraar. Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.

2 Aanaalum en kaalkal thallaaduthalukkum, en atikal saraுkkuthalukkum satte thappittaு. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

3 Thunmaarkkarin vaalvai naan kaannkaiyil, veempukkaararaakiya avarkalmael poraamaikonntaen. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

4 Maranapariyantham avarkalukku idukkannkalillai; avarkalutaiya pelan uraுthiyaayirukkirathu. For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

5 Narar padum varuththaththil akappadaarkal; manushar ataiyum upaathiyai ataiyaarkal. They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

6 Aakaiyaal perumai sarappanniyaippol avarkalaich suttikkollum, kodumai aataiyaippol avarkalai mootikkollum. Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

7 Avarkal kannkal koluppinaal eduppaayp paarkkirathu; avarkal iruthayam virumpuvathilum athikamaay nadanthaeraுkirathu. Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.

8 Avarkal seerkettuppoy, akanthaiyaayk kodumai paesukiraarkal; iraுmaappaayp paesukiraarkal. They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.

9 Thangal vaay vaanamattum ettappaesukiraarkal; avarkal naavu poomiyengum ulaavukirathu. They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

10 Aakaiyaal avarutaiya janangal intha valiyaakavae thirumpukiraarkal; thannnneerkal avarkalukkup paripooranamaaych suranthuvarum. Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.

11 Thaevanukku athu eppatith theriyum? Unnathamaanavarukku athaippatti arivu unntoo? Entu sollukiraarkal. And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

12 Itho, ivarkal thunmaarkkar; ivarkal entum sukajeevikalaayirunthu, aasthiyaip perukappannnukiraarkal. Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.

13 Naan viruthaavaakavae en iruthayaththaich suththampannnni, kuttamillaamaiyilae en kaikalaik kaluvinaen. Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

14 Naalthoraுm naan vaathikkappattum, kaalaithoraுm thanntikkappattum irukkiraேn. For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

15 Ivvithamaayp paesuvaen entu naan sonnaenaanaal. Itho, ummutaiya pillaikalin santhathikkuth thurokiyaavaen. If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.

16 Ithai ariyumpatikku yosiththuppaarththaen; naan thaevanutaiya Parisuththa sthalaththukkul piravaesiththu, When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

17 Avarkal mutivaik kavaniththu unarumalavum, athu en paarvaikku visanamaayirunthathu. Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.

18 Nichchayamaakavae neer avarkalaich saraுkkalaana idangalil niraுththi, paalaana idangalil vilappannnukireer. Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.

19 Avarkal oru nimishaththil evvalavu paalaayppokiraarkal! Payangarangalaal alinthu nirmoolamaakiraarkal. How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.

20 Niththirai thelinthavudanae soppanam olivathupol, aanndavarae, neer vilikkumpothu, avarkal vaeshaththai ikaluveer. As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.

21 Ippatiyaaka en manam kasanthathu, en ullinthiriyangalilae kuththunntaen. Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

22 Naan kaariyam ariyaatha moodanaanaen; umakku munpaaka mirukampolirunthaen. So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.

23 Aanaalum naan eppoluthum ummotirukkiraேn; en valathukaiyaip pitiththuth thaangukireer. Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

24 Ummutaiya aalosanaiyinpati neer ennai nadaththi, mutivilae ennai makimaiyil aettaுkkolveer. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

25 Paralokaththil ummaiyallaamal enakku yaar unndu? Poolokaththil ummaith thavira enakku vaeraே viruppamillai. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

26 En maamsamum en iruthayamum maanndupokirathu; Dhevan ententaikkum en iruthayaththin kanmalaiyum en pangumaayirukkiraar. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

27 Itho, ummaivittuth thooramaayppokiravarkal naasamataivaarkal; ummaivittuch sorampokira anaivaraiyum sangarippeer. For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

28 Enakko, thaevanai anntikkonntiruppathae nalam; naan umathu kiriyaikalaiyellaam sollivarumpati karththaraakiya aanndavarmael en nampikkaiyai vaiththirukkiraேn. But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
