1 கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 குஷ்டரோகிகள் யாவரையும், பிரமியமுள்ளவர்கள் யாவரையும், சவத்தினால் தீட்டுப்பட்டவர்கள் யாவரையும் பாளயத்திலிருந்து விலக்கிவிட இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குக் கட்டளையிடு. Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

3 ஆண்பிள்ளையானாலும் பெண்பிள்ளையானாலும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களை நீங்கள் விலக்கி, நான் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற தங்கள் பாளயங்களை அவர்கள் தீட்டுப்படுத்தாதபடிக்கு, நீங்கள் அவர்களைப் பாளயத்திற்குப் புறம்பாக்கிவிடக்கடவீர்கள் என்றார். Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

4 கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குச் சொன்னபடியே, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் செய்து, அவர்களைப் பாளயத்திற்குப் புறம்பாக்கிவிட்டார்கள். And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

5 மேலும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

6 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: ஒரு புருஷனானாலும் ஸ்திரீயானாலும், கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளையை மீறி மனிதர் செய்யும் பாவங்களில் யாதொரு பாவத்தைச் செய்து குற்றவாளியானால், Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;

7 அவர்கள் தாங்கள் செய்த பாவத்தை அறிக்கையிடக்கடவர்கள்; அப்படிப்பட்டவன் தான் செய்த குற்றத்தினிமித்தம் அபராதத்தின் முதலோடே ஐந்தில் ஒருபங்கை அதிகமாய்க் கூட்டி, தான் குற்றஞ்செய்தவனுக்குச் செலுத்தக்கடவன் Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

8 அதைக் கேட்டு வாங்குகிறதற்கு இனத்தான் ஒருவனும் இல்லாதிருந்தால், அப்பொழுது அவனுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படி ஆட்டுக்கடா செலுத்தப்படுவதுமல்லாமல், கர்த்தருக்கு அந்த அபராதம் செலுத்தப்பட்டு, அது ஆசாரியனைச் சேரவேண்டும். But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the LORD, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.

9 இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் ஏறெடுத்துப் படைக்கும்படி ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவருகிற எல்லாப் பரிசுத்தமான படைப்பும் அவனுடையதாயிருக்கும். And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.

10 ஒவ்வொருவரும் படைக்கும் பரிசுத்தமான வஸ்துக்கள் அவனுடையதாயிருக்கும்; ஒருவன் ஆசாரியனுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறது எதுவும் அவனுக்கே உரியது என்று சொல் என்றார். And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.

11 கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

12 நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: ஒருவனுடைய மனைவி பிறர்முகம் பார்த்து, புருஷனுக்குத் துரோகம்பண்ணி, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,

13 ஒருவனோடே சம்யோகமாய்ச் சயனித்திருந்த விஷயத்தில் அவள் தீட்டுப்பட்டவளாயிருந்தும், அவளுடைய புருஷன் கண்களுக்கு அது மறைக்கப்பட்டு வெளிக்கு வராமல் இருக்கிறபோதும், சாட்சியில்லாமலும் அவள் கையும் களவுமாகப் பிடிக்கப்படாமலும் இருக்கிறபோதும், And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;

Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

16 ஆசாரின் அவளைச் சமீபத்தில் அழைத்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நிறுத்தி, And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:

17 ஒரு மண்பாண்டத்திலே பரிசுத்த ஜலம் வார்த்து, வாசஸ்தலத்தின் தரையிலிருக்கும் புழுதியிலே கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, அந்த ஜலத்திலே போட்டு, And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:

18 ஸ்திரீயைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நிறுத்தி, அவள் முக்காட்டை நீக்கி, எரிச்சலின் காணிக்கையாகிய நினைப்பூட்டுதலின் காணிக்கையை அவள் உள்ளங்கையிலே வைப்பானாக; சாபகாரணமான கசப்பான ஜலம் ஆசாரியன் கையிலிருக்கவேண்டும், And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:

And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

20 உன் புருஷனுக்கு உட்பட்டிருக்கிற நீ பிறர்முகம் பார்த்து, உன் புருஷனோடேயன்றி அந்நியனோடே சம்யோகமாய் சயனித்துத் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பாயானால், But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:

21 கர்த்தர் உன் இடுப்பு சூம்பவும், உன் வயிறு வீங்கவும்பண்ணி, உன்னை உன் ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே சாபமும் ஆணையிடுங்குறியுமாக வைப்பாராக. Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;

22 சாபகாரணமான இந்த ஜலம் உன் வயிறு வீங்கவும் இடுப்பு சூம்பவும் பண்ணும்படி, உன் குடலுக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கக்கடவது என்கிற சாபவார்த்தையாலே ஸ்திரீயை ஆணையிடுவித்துச் சொல்வானாக. அதற்கு அந்த ஸ்திரீ: ஆமென், ஆமென், என்று சொல்லக்கடவள். And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

23 பின்பு ஆசாரியன் இந்தச் சாப வார்த்தைகளை ஒரு சீட்டில் எழுதி, அவைகளைக் கசப்பான ஜலத்தினால் கழுவிப்போட்டு, And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:

24 சாபகாரணமான அந்தக் கசப்பான ஜலத்தை அவள் குடிக்கும்படி பண்ணுவான்; அப்பொழுது சாபகாரணமான அந்த ஜலம் அவளுக்குள் இறங்கிக் கசப்பாகும். And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.

25 பின்பு ஆசாரியன் எரிச்சலின் காணிக்கையை அந்த ஸ்திரீயின் கையிலிருந்து வாங்கி, அதைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டி, பீடத்தின்மேல் செலுத்தி, Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:

26 ஞாபகக்குறியாக அதிலே ஒரு கைப்பிடி நிறைய எடுத்து, பீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்து, பின்பு ஸ்திரீக்கு அந்த ஜலத்தைக் குடிக்கும்படி கொடுக்கக்கடவன். And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.

27 அந்த ஜலத்தைக் குடிக்கச் செய்தபின்பு சம்பவிப்பதாவது: அவள் தீட்டுப்பட்டு, தன் புருஷனுக்குத் துரோகம்பண்ணியிருந்தால், சாபகாரணமான அந்த ஜலம் அவளுக்குள் பிரவேசித்துக் கசப்புண்டானதினால், அவள் வயிறு வீங்கி, அவள் இடுப்பு சூம்பும்; இப்படியே அந்த ஸ்திரீ தன் ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே சாபமாக இருப்பாள். And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 அந்த ஸ்திரீ தீட்டுப்படாமல் சுத்தமாயிருந்தால், அவள் அதற்கு நீங்கலாகி, கர்ப்பந்தரிக்கத்தக்கவளாயிருப்பாள். And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

29 ஒரு ஸ்திரீ தன் புருஷனோடேயன்றி அந்நிய புருஷனோடே சேர்ந்து தீட்டுப்பட்டதினால் உண்டான எரிச்சலுக்கும், This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;

30 புருஷன்மேல் எரிச்சலின் ஆவி வருகிறதினால், அவன் தன் மனைவியின்மேல் அடைந்த சமுசயத்துக்கும் அடுத்த பிரமாணம் இதுவே. அவன் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் தன் மனைவியை நிறுத்துவானாக; ஆசாரியன் இந்தப் பிரமாணத்தின்படியெல்லாம் அவளுக்குச் செய்யக்கடவன். Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

31 புருஷனானவன் அக்கிரமத்திற்கு நீங்கலாயிருப்பான்; அப்படிப்பட்ட ஸ்திரீயோ, தன் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பாள் என்று சொல் என்றார். Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.

1 Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Kushdarokikal yaavaraiyum, piramiyamullavarkal yaavaraiyum, savaththinaal theettuppattavarkal yaavaraiyum paalayaththilirunthu vilakkivida Israel puththirarukkuk kattalaiyidu. Command the children of Israel, that they put out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:

3 Aannpillaiyaanaalum pennpillaiyaanaalum appatippattavarkalai neengal vilakki, naan vaasampannnukira thangal paalayangalai avarkal theettuppaduththaathapatikku, neengal avarkalaip paalayaththirkup purampaakkividakkadaveerkal entar. Both male and female shall ye put out, without the camp shall ye put them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.

4 Karththar Moseskkuch sonnapatiyae, Israel puththirar seythu, avarkalaip paalayaththirkup purampaakkivittarkal. And the children of Israel did so, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD spake unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.

5 Maelum Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

6 Israel puththirarotae sollavaenntiyathu ennavental: oru purushanaanaalum sthireeyaanaalum, karththarutaiya kattalaiyai meeri manithar seyyum paavangalil yaathoru paavaththaich seythu kuttavaaliyaanaal, Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person be guilty;

7 Avarkal thaangal seytha paavaththai arikkaiyidakkadavarkal; appatippattavan thaan seytha kuttaththinimiththam aparaathaththin muthalotae ainthil orupangai athikamaayk kootti, thaan kuttanjaெythavanukkuch seluththakkadavan Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.

8 Athaik kaettu vaangukiratharku inaththaan oruvanum illaathirunthaal, appoluthu avanukkaakap paavanivirththi seyyumpati aattukkadaa seluththappaduvathumallaamal, karththarukku antha aparaatham seluththappattu, athu aasaariyanaich seravaenndum. 9 Israel puththirar aeraெduththup pataikkumpati aasaariyanidaththil konnduvarukira ellaap Parisuththamaana pataippum avanutaiyathaayirukkum. And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.

10 Ovvoruvarum pataikkum Parisuththamaana vasthukkal avanutaiyathaayirukkum; oruvan aasaariyanukkuk kodukkirathu ethuvum avanukkae uriyathu entu sol entar. And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth the priest, it shall be his.

11 Karththar Mosesyai Nnokki: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

12 Nee Israel puththirarukkuch sollavaenntiyathu ennavental: oruvanutaiya manaivi pirarmukam paarththu, purushanukkuth thurokampannnni, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man's wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,

13 Oruvanotae samyokamaaych sayaniththiruntha vishayaththil aval theettuppattavalaayirunthum, avalutaiya purushan kannkalukku athu maraikkappattu velikku varaamal irukkirapothum, saatchiyillaamalum aval kaiyum kalavumaakap pitikkappadaamalum irukkirapothum, And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, and be kept close, and she be defiled, and there be no witness against her, neither she be taken with the manner;

14 Erichchalin aavi avanmael vanthu, avan thannutaiya manaivi theettuppaduththappattirukka, theettuppaduththappatta than manaiviyinmael kurothangaொnntirunthaalum, allathu avan manaivi theettuppaduththappadaathirukka, erichchalin aavi avanmael vanthu, avan avalmael kurothangaொnntirunthaalum, And the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy come upon him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she be not defiled:

15 Anthap purushan than manaiviyai aasaariyanidaththil alaiththukkonndu vanthu, aval nimiththam oru eppaa alavaana vaarkothumai maavilae paththil oru pangaip pataippaakak kodukkakkadavan; athu erichchalin kaannikkaiyum akkiramaththai ninaippoottum kaannikkaiyumaay iruppathinaal, athinmael ennnney vaarkkaamalum thoopavarkkampodaamalum iruppaanaaka. Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal; he shall pour no oil upon it, nor put frankincense thereon; for it is an offering of jealousy, an offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.

16 Aasaarin avalaich sameepaththil alaiththu, karththarutaiya sannithiyil niraுththi, And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD:

17 Oru mannpaanndaththilae Parisuththa jalam vaarththu, vaasasthalaththin tharaiyilirukkum puluthiyilae konjam eduththu, antha jalaththilae pottu, And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is in the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water:

18 Sthireeyaik karththarutaiya sannithiyil niraுththi, aval mukkaattaை neekki, erichchalin kaannikkaiyaakiya ninaippoottuthalin kaannikkaiyai aval ullangaiyilae vaippaanaaka; saapakaaranamaana kasappaana jalam aasaariyan kaiyilirukkavaenndum, And the priest shall set the woman before the LORD, and uncover the woman's head, and put the offering of memorial in her hands, which is the jealousy offering: and the priest shall have in his hand the bitter water that causeth the curse:

19 Pinpu aasaariyan avalai aannaiyiduviththu oruvanum unnotae sayaniyaamalum, un purushanukku utpattirukkira nee theettuppadaththakkathaayp pirarmukam paaraamalum irunthaal, saapakaaranamaana inthak kasappaana jalaththin thoshaththukku neengalaayiruppaay. And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter water that causeth the curse:

20 Un purushanukku utpattirukkira nee pirarmukam paarththu, un purushanotaeyanti anniyanotae samyokamaay sayaniththuth theettuppattiruppaayaanaal, But if thou hast gone aside to another instead of thy husband, and if thou be defiled, and some man have lain with thee beside thine husband:

21 Karththar un iduppu soompavum, un vayiraு veengavumpannnni, unnai un janangalukkullae saapamum aannaiyidunguriyumaaka vaippaaraaka. Then the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of cursing, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The LORD make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the LORD doth make thy thigh to rot, and thy belly to swell;

22 Saapakaaranamaana intha jalam un vayiraு veengavum iduppu soompavum pannnumpati, un kudalukkul piravaesikkakkadavathu enkira saapavaarththaiyaalae sthireeyai aannaiyiduviththuch solvaanaaka. Atharku antha sthiree: Amen, Amen, entu sollakkadaval. And this water that causeth the curse shall go into thy bowels, to make thy belly to swell, and thy thigh to rot: And the woman shall say, Amen, amen.

23 Pinpu aasaariyan inthach saapa vaarththaikalai oru seettil eluthi, avaikalaik kasappaana jalaththinaal kaluvippottu, And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out with the bitter water:

24 Saapakaaranamaana anthak kasappaana jalaththai aval kutikkumpati pannnuvaan; appoluthu saapakaaranamaana antha jalam avalukkul irangik kasappaakum. And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter water that causeth the curse: and the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter.

25 Pinpu aasaariyan erichchalin kaannikkaiyai antha sthireeyin kaiyilirunthu vaangi, athaik karththarutaiya sannithiyil asaivaatti, peedaththinmael seluththi, Then the priest shall take the jealousy offering out of the woman's hand, and shall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer it upon the altar:

26 Njaapakakkuriyaaka athilae oru kaippiti niraiya eduththu, peedaththinmael thakaniththu, pinpu sthireekku antha jalaththaik kutikkumpati kodukkakkadavan. And the priest shall take an handful of the offering, even the memorial thereof, and burn it upon the altar, and afterward shall cause the woman to drink the water.

27 Antha jalaththaik kutikkach seythapinpu sampavippathaavathu: aval theettuppattu, than purushanukkuth thurokampannnniyirunthaal, saapakaaranamaana antha jalam avalukkul piravaesiththuk kasappunndaanathinaal, aval vayiraு veengi, aval iduppu soompum; ippatiyae antha sthiree than janangalukkullae saapamaaka iruppaal. And when he hath made her to drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that, if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her people.

28 Antha sthiree theettuppadaamal suththamaayirunthaal, aval atharku neengalaaki, karppantharikkaththakkavalaayiruppaal. And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed.

29 Oru sthiree than purushanotaeyanti anniya purushanotae sernthu theettuppattathinaal unndaana erichchalukkum, This is the law of jealousies, when a wife goeth aside to another instead of her husband, and is defiled;

30 Purushanmael erichchalin aavi varukirathinaal, avan than manaiviyinmael ataintha samusayaththukkum aduththa piramaanam ithuvae. Avan karththarutaiya sannithiyil than manaiviyai niraுththuvaanaaka; aasaariyan inthap piramaanaththinpatiyellaam avalukkuch seyyakkadavan. Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and shall set the woman before the LORD, and the priest shall execute upon her all this law.

31 Purushanaanavan akkiramaththirku neengalaayiruppaan; appatippatta sthireeyo, than akkiramaththaich sumappaal entu sol entar. Then shall the man be guiltless from iniquity, and this woman shall bear her iniquity.
