அசீரியா ராஜாக்கள் வந்து, அதிக தண்ணீரைக் கண்டுபிடிப்பானேன் என்று சொல்லி, அநேகம் ஜனங்கள் கூடி, எல்லா ஊற்றுகளையும் நாட்டின் நடுவில் பாயும் ஓடையையும் தூர்த்துப்போட்டார்கள்.

So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?

So there was gathered together, וַיִּקָּֽבְצ֣וּ qābaṣ ka-VAHTS
people עַם ʿam am
much רָ֔ב rab rahv
who stopped וַֽיִּסְתְּמוּ֙ sātam sa-TAHM
אֶת ʾēt ate
all כָּל kōl kole
the fountains, הַמַּעְיָנ֔וֹת maʿyān ma-YAHN
וְאֶת ʾēt ate
and the brook הַנַּ֛חַל naḥal na-HAHL
that ran הַשּׁוֹטֵ֥ף šāṭap sha-TAHF
through the midst בְּתוֹךְ tāwek ta-VEK
of the land, הָאָ֖רֶץ ʾereṣ eh-RETS
saying, לֵאמֹ֑ר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Why לָ֤מָּה mâ ma
