தேவன்மேல் தன்னை ஆணையிடுவித்துக்கொண்ட நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பாதபடிக்கு, தன் கழுத்தை அழுத்தமாக்கி, தன் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தினான்.

சிதேக்கியா நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் அரசனுக்கு எதிராக ஆனான். முன்பு நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் சிதேக்கியாவிடம் தனக்கு உண்மையாக நடந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும் என்று வாக்குறுதி வாங்கியிருந்தான். சிதேக்கியா தேவன் மேல் ஆணைச் செய்திருந்தான். ஆனால் அவன் கடின மனதுள்ளவனாக இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய பக்கம் திரும்பாமல் இருந்தான்.

தேவன்மேல் தன்னை ஆணையிடுவித்துக்கொண்ட நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பாதபடிக்கு, தன் கழுத்தை அழுத்தமாக்கி, தன் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தினான்.
