அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர் அந்த இரதத்தின் மேலிருந்த அவனை இறக்கி, அவனுக்கு இருந்த இரண்டாவது இரதத்தின்மேல் ஏற்றி அவனை எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் மரணமடைந்து தன் பிதாக்களின் கல்லறையில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; யூதாவிலும் எருசலேமிலுமுள்ள யாவரும் யோசியாவுக்காகத் துக்கங்கொண்டாடினார்கள்.

எனவே, வேலைக்காரர்கள் யோசியாவை அவனது இரதத்திலிருந்து இறக்கி, வேறொரு இரதத்தில் ஏற்றினார்கள். இரண்டாவது இரதமும் அவனால் போர்க்களத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டதுதான். பின் யோசியாவை எருசலேமிற்கு அழைத்துச் சென்றனர். அங்கே அவன் மரித்தான். அவன் முற்பிதாக்களின் கல்லறைகளுக்கு அருகில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். யூதா மற்றும் எருசலேமில் உள்ள ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் யோசியாவின் மரணத்திற்காகப் பெரிதும் துக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

Appoluthu avanutaiya ooliyakkaarar antha irathaththin maeliruntha avanai irakki, avanukku iruntha iranndaavathu irathaththinmael aetti avanai erusalaemukkuk konnduvanthaarkal; avan maranamatainthu than pithaakkalin kallaraiyil adakkampannnappattan; yoothaavilum erusalaemilumulla yaavarum yosiyaavukkaakath thukkangaொnndaatinaarkal.
