எசேக்கியா ஆசாரியர் லேவியருடைய வகுப்புகளை அவர்கள் வரிசைகளின்படியேயும் அவரவரை அவர்கள் ஊழியத்தின்படியேயும் திட்டப்படுத்தி, ஆசாரியரையும் லேவியரையும், சர்வாங்கதகனபலிகளையும் சமாதானபலிகளையும் செலுத்தவும், கர்த்தருடைய பாளயத்தின் வாசல்களில் ஊழியஞ்செய்து துதித்து ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கவும் ஒழுங்குப்படுத்தினான்.

ஆசாரியர்களும், லேவியர்களும் குழுக்களாகப் பிரிக்கப்பட்டார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு குழுவுக்கும் சிறப்பான பணி இருந்தது. எனவே எசேக்கியா அரசன் இக்குழுவினர்களிடம் தம் வேலைகளை மீண்டும் செய்யுமாறு கூறினான். எனவே லேவியர்களும், ஆசாரியர்களும் தகனபலிகள் மற்றும் சமாதானப் பலிகள் கொடுக்கும் வேலையைச் செய்தனர். கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் வாசலில் தேவனைத் துதித்துப் பாடுவது என்றும் ஆலயத்தில் சேவைசெய்வது என்றும் நியமித்தான் அரசன்.
