நீங்கள் சுதந்தரிக்கும் தேசத்திலே பிழைத்துச் சுகித்து நீடித்திருக்கும்படி உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கு விதித்த வழிகளெல்லாவற்றிலும் நடக்கக் கடவீர்கள்.
Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.
நீங்கள் சுதந்தரிக்கப்போகிற தேசத்திலே கைக்கொள்ளவதற்காக, உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கவேண்டும் என்று உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் கற்பித்த கற்பனைகளும் கட்டளைகளும் நியாயங்களும் இவைகளே.
That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
தானியம் ஏற்றகாலத்திலே அம்பராத்தில் சேருகிறதுபோல, முதிர்வயதிலே கல்லறையில் சேருவீர்.
Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in in his season.
நன்மையைக் காணும்படி, ஜீவனை விரும்பி, நீடித்த நாட்களை அபேட்சிக்கிற மனுஷன் யார்?
What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?
தீமையை விட்டு விலகி, நன்மைசெய்; சமாதானத்தைத் தேடி, அதைத் தொடர்ந்துகொள்.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
நீடித்த நாட்களால் அவனைத் திருப்தியாக்கி, என் இரட்சிப்பை அவனுக்குக் காண்பிப்பேன்.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
அவர் உன் அக்கிரமங்களையெல்லாம் மன்னித்து, உன் நோய்களையெல்லாம் குணமாக்கி,
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
நன்மையினால் உன் வாயைத் திருப்தியாக்குகிறார்; கழுகுக்குச் சமானமாய் உன் வயது திரும்ப வால வயதுபோலாகிறது.
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
அவைகள் உனக்கு நீடித்த நாட்களையும், தீர்க்காயுசையும், சமாதானத்தையும் பெருகப்பண்ணும்.
For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
நீ உன்னை ஞானியென்று எண்ணாதே; கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, தீமையை விட்டு விலகு.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
அது உன் நாபிக்கு ஆரோக்கியமும், உன் எலும்புகளுக்கு ஊனுமாகும்.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
அதின் வலது கையில் தீர்க்காயுசும், அதின் இடதுகையில் செல்வமும் கனமும் இருக்கிறது.
Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
அவைகளைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கிறவர்களுக்கு அவைகள் ஜீவனும், அவர்கள் உடலுக்கெல்லாம் ஆரோக்கியமுமாம்.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
என்னாலே உன் நாட்கள் பெருகும்; உன் ஆயுசின் வருஷங்கள் விருத்தியாகும்.
For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased.
