சகரியா 2:2
நீர் எவ்விடத்துக்குப் போகிறீர் என்று கேட்டேன்; அதற்கு அவர்; எருசலேமின் அகலம் இவ்வளவு என்றும் அதின் நீளம் இவ்வளவு என்றும் அறியும்படி அதை அளக்கிறதற்குப் போகிறேன் என்றார்.

நீர் எவ்விடத்திற்குப் போகிறீர் என்று கேட்டேன்; அதற்கு அவர்: எருசலேமின் அகலம் இவ்வளவு என்றும் அதின் நீளம் இவ்வளவு என்றும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும்படி அதை அளப்பதற்குப் போகிறேன் என்றார்.

நான் அவனிடம், “எங்கே போய்கொண்டிருக்கிறாய்?” என்று கேட்டேன். அவன் என்னிடம், “நான் எருசலேமை அளந்து எவ்வளவு நீளம் எவ்வளவு அகலம் எனப் பார்க்கப் போகிறேன்” என்றான்.

‘எங்கே போகிறீர்?’ என்று நான் அவரை வினவினேன். அதற்கு அவர், ‘எருசலேமை அளந்து, அதன் அகலமும் நீளமும் எவ்வளவு என்பதைக் காணப்போகிறேன்’ என்றார்.
