தன் நிலத்தைப் பயிரிடுகிறவன் ஆகாரத்தால் திருப்தியாவான்; வீணரைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவனோ வறுமையால் நிறைந்திருப்பான்.

தன்னுடைய நிலத்தைப் பயிரிடுகிறவன் உணவால் திருப்தியாவான்; வீணர்களைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவனோ வறுமையால் நிறைந்திருப்பான்.

கடினமாக உழைப்பவன் உணவை ஏராளமாகப் பெறுவான். ஆனால் எப்போதும் கனவுகள் கண்டு தன் காலத்தை வீணாக்குபவன் ஏழையாகவே இருப்பான்.

⁽உழுது பயிரிடுகிறவர் நிரம்ப உணவு பெறுவார்; வீணானவற்றில் காலத்தைக் கழிப்பவர் எப்போதும் வறுமை நிறைந்தவராய் இருப்பார்.⁾
