எண்ணாகமம் 5:22
சாபகாரணமான இந்த ஜலம் உன் வயிறு வீங்கவும் இடுப்பு சூம்பவும் பண்ணும்படி, உன் குடலுக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கக்கடவது என்கிற சாபவார்த்தையாலே ஸ்திரீயை ஆணையிடுவித்துச் சொல்வானாக. அதற்கு அந்த ஸ்திரீ: ஆமென், ஆமென், என்று சொல்லக்கடவள்.

சாபகாரணமான இந்த தண்ணீர் உன்னுடைய வயிறு வீங்கவும் இடுப்பு சூம்பவும் செய்யும்படி, உன்னுடைய குடலுக்குள் போகவேண்டும் என்கிற சாபவார்த்தையாலே பெண்ணை ஆணையிடவைத்துச் சொல்வானாக. அதற்கு அந்தப் பெண்: ஆமென், ஆமென், என்று சொல்லவேண்டும்.

நீ கேடு உண்டாக்கக் கூடிய தண்ணீரைக் குடிக்க வேண்டும். நீ பாவம் செய்திருந்தால், ‘உனக்குக் குழந்தை ஏற்படாமல் போகும். நீ கருவுற்றிருந்தால் அது பிறக்குமுன் மரித்துப்போகும்’ என்று ஆசாரியன் அப்பெண்ணிடம் கூறவேண்டும். அதற்கு அவள், ‘நீர் சொல்கிறபடி நான் செய்வேன்’ என்று கூற வேண்டும்.

that causeth the curse הַמְאָֽרְרִ֤ים ʾārar ah-RAHR
And this הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ ʾēlle ay-LEH
into thy bowels, בְּֽמֵעַ֔יִךְ mēʿe may-EH
to swell, לַצְבּ֥וֹת ṣābâ tsa-VA
to make belly בֶּ֖טֶן beṭen beh-TEN
to rot: וְלַנְפִּ֣ל nāpal na-FAHL
and thigh יָרֵ֑ךְ yārēk ya-RAKE
shall say, וְאָֽמְרָ֥ה ʾāmar ah-MAHR
And the woman הָֽאִשָּׁ֖ה ʾiššâ ee-SHA
