தானியேலாகிய நான் சோர்வடைந்து, சிலநாள் வியாதிப்பட்டிருந்தேன்; பின்பு நான் எழுந்திருந்து, ராஜாவின் வேலையைச் செய்து, அந்தத் தரிசனத்தினால் திகைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தேன்; ஒருவரும் அதை அறியவில்லை.

தானியேலாகிய நான் மிகவும் பலவீனனாகிவிட்டேன். அந்தத் தரிசனத்திற்குப் பிறகு பல நாட்கள் நான் நோயுற்றேன். பிறகு நான் எழுந்து அரசனுக்காக வேலை செய்யப்போனேன். ஆனால் நான் அந்தத் தரிசனத்தால் கலங்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தேன். தரிசனத்தின் பொருள் என்னவென்று நான் புரியாமல் இருந்தேன்.
