மோவாப்தேசத்தில் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது கீரியாத்தின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும்; மோவாபியர் அமளியோடும் ஆர்ப்பரிப்போடும் எக்காள சத்தத்தோடும் சாவார்கள்.

எனவே நான் மோவாப் நாட்டில் நெருப்பைப் பற்றவைப்பேன். அந்த நெருப்பு கீரியோத்தின் உயர்ந்த கோபுரங்களை அழிக்கும். அங்கே பயங்கர சத்தமும் எக்காளச் சத்தமும் கேட்க அவர்கள் மரிபார்கள்.

⁽ஆதலால், மோவாபின்மேல்␢ நெருப்பைக் கொட்டுவேன்.␢ அது கெரியோத்தின் கோட்டைகளை␢ விழுங்கிவிடும்;␢ இரைச்சல், கூச்சல், எக்காள முழக்கம்␢ ஆகியவை ஒருசேர எழும் வேளைகளில்␢ மோவாபு மடிந்திடுவான்.⁾

the palaces	אַרְמְנ֣וֹת	ʾarmôn	ar-MONE
of Kerioth:	הַקְּרִיּ֑וֹת	qĕriyyôt	keh-ree-YOTE
shall die	וּמֵ֤ת	mût	moot

கீரியோத்தின்மேலும், போஸ்றாவின்மேலும், மோவாப் தேசத்திலே தூரத்திலும் சமீபத்திலும் இருக்கிற எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களின் மேலும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு; வரும்.

கீரியோத் பிடிக்கப்படும், கோட்டைகள் கைவசமாகும்; அந்நாளிலே மோவாபின் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளுடைய இருதயம் பிரசவவேதனைப்படுகிற ஸ்திரீயின் இருதயம்போல இருக்கும்.
